Disney+ has been dominating the streaming game lately, with mega-popular hits like Loki, The Mandalorian, WandaVision, and more!
The streaming service has been a big success globally as well, with Disney+ continuing to launch in several international markets throughout 2021.
One of the upcoming international launches is in Hong Kong. According to Variety, Disney+ will be available in that market beginning November 16th, 2021.
At the time of launch, Disney+ will be available in the Hong Kong market for HK$73 ($8.97 USD) per month or as an annual package costing HK$738 ($95.60 USD).
Disney+ in Hong Kong will also include Star, which will bring general entertainment brand options from brands like ABC, 20th Century, FX, Searchlight, and more. In the US, these titles are usually available on Hulu as opposed to the Star brand on Disney+. Star will also feature new originals as well as Asian content.
So far, Asian markets that currently carry Disney+ include India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and Japan, as well as Australia. Disney+ will also launch in Taiwan and South Korea this November. We’ll be on the lookout for more news and updates when it comes to Disney+! Stay tuned for all of the latest announcements.
