If you’re planning to travel to the theme parks soon, we’re sure you’ve been keeping an eye on flight prices and schedules. But, sometimes unexpected parts of traveling can occur, like major delays and even cancelations.

Southwest Airlines experienced huge problems of its own, where over 1,800 flights were canceled this weekend with an additional 348 flights that were also called off yesterday. However, the cancelations have continued through today, October 12th, for the airline company.
CNBC has reported that Southwest Airlines has canceled another 87 flights today as it moves towards balancing its more chaotic schedules from the past two days. Compared to the thousands of flights that have been canceled the past few days, 87 departures only equates to about 2% of Southwest’s flight schedule.

As of today, Southwest Airlines has canceled nearly 2,400 flights due to bad weather, air traffic control issues. and a staffing shortage. Casey Murray, president of the Southwest Airlines Pilots Association, also stated that the cancelations were due to the “airline’s poor planning.”

While it looks like Southwest’s halted flights are slowing down, we’ll be sure to keep you updated on everything before your upcoming travel plans! Stay tuned with AllEars with the latest Disney entertainment and news coming soon!

We have a weekend trip starting on 10/21-10/24. We were supposed to fly down on the 21st. Looking like we may drive down now (leave 10/19) to control our own destiny. Don’t want to get down there with no way home.
I had a direct flight cancelled. Had to rebooked in Houston/Hobby with a stop in Atlata to Tampa.
