NEWS: ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ is the Biggest Movie Opening of the Pandemic

Although there has been some drama around the movie industry lately, it’s safe to say that plenty of people are still happy to go to the movies!

Sony’s newest sequel, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, is KILLING it at the box office, despite Sony’s initial lack of confidence prior to the release.

According to CNN, Venom 2 already made an estimated $90.1 million at the US box office this weekend.

An opening weekend of $90.1 million is being called the highest total pandemic era opening ever. Interestingly, Venom 2 even outperformed the first movie, which made about $80 million during the opening weekend.

Sony decided to release Venom 2 exclusively in theaters, which could help explain the huge success that the movie is having.
