Could This Disney World Dining Glitch Mean a Longer Reservation Window is Returning?

Update: Note that this dining glitch appears to have been fixed. We’ll be on the lookout for any further changes.

Ever since Walt Disney World reopened, there have been quite a few alterations in how dining works.

The dining plan has been unavailable, Mobile Ordering has been heavily encouraged at many restaurants, and dining reservations can only be made 60 days out instead of the usual 180. But today, there’s an interesting glitch on the website that may point to some future changes.

This morning on the Disney World website, something very interesting is happening. Currently, the dining calendar shows dates available six months from now!

However, when you click on the dates outside of the 60-day reservation window, you get an error message at the top of your screen. They’re not available to book yet.

You can still safely book within the 60-day window, but anything past that is not yet open. Previously, only the next 60 days were listed in blue on the calendar, so this is certainly unusual.

Disney hasn’t made any announcements about extending the dining window yet, but we’ll certainly be on the lookout.

Update: Note that this dining glitch appears to have been fixed and our team member who previously was able to move the calendar beyond the 60 days was no longer able to do so as of July 22nd. We’ll be on the lookout for any further changes.

As more things continue to reopen, Disney has been making quite a few changes recently. Could dining be next on the list? Stay tuned to AllEars for the latest Disney World news and updates!
