NEWS: Trader Sam's Virtual Queue is ALREADY Full in Disney World

We’ve been spending our day exploring all there is to see at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort!

The hotel reopened today and we’ve brought you a look at all the specialty snack options, new Moana-themed rooms, and even a peek inside Disney’s reopened Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto! And, it looks like fans hoping to dine inside the reopened bar just might have to come back tomorrow.

Trader Sam’s is currently operating with a Virtual Queue that enables guests to “get in line” and then explore the rest of the resort while they wait for their turn. But, today, the virtual queue has already reached capacity!

We got in line around 1:30PM today (though the bar doesn’t officially open until 3PM) and the line was already long for the virtual queue. And, by 5:30PM, the virtual queue was up to a 5-hour wait and had closed for the rest of the evening!

Trader Sam’s is set to open until midnight daily, but it is on the smaller side and only has 51 seats (plus some standing room). So, if it’s a busy evening at the bar, then the queue can close pretty early, which is what happened today.

But, rest assured, you can still get your Zombie drink (or any other drink from the menu)! Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace is located just outside on the patio at the resort and features the same menu that you’ll find inside — there just might be less fanfare when your drink is ready.
