Tropical Storm Elsa is projected to arrive in Florida soon and we’re bringing you the latest on what to expect and how the storm might impact your Disney World vacation. So far, Elsa has made landfall in Cuba and surrounding islands (causing damage from high winds and rain), and as the storm approaches Florida, there’s a new warning that impacts the area that Disney World is located.

Fox 35 Orlando has issued a Tornado Watch in both Polk and Osceloa Counties that will last until 11PM on July 6th. And, while some parts of Disney World are located in Orange County, places like the All-Star Resorts, areas of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and more are actually located in Osceola County.

If you happen to be in the areas of Disney that are included in the Tornado Watch, be sure that you are paying attention to messages from Cast Members or other alerts that you may receive through the My Disney Experience app. And, keep in mind that some outdoor attractions may close if the weather becomes unsafe for guests.

It can get pretty rainy in Disney World if there’s severe weather coming!

Of course, we will continue to keep an eye out for more updates as the storm develops and approaches Florida, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!
