It’s a new month, and that means there’s a NEW celebration in Disney World for May!

While we’ve recently seen the “Celebrate Soulfully” and “Celebrate Her Story” festivities, now Disney World will be honoring guests, creators, and more with Asian Pacific American Heritage Celebrations!
And, we’re breaking down all the things you can experience throughout the shopping and dining district in honor of the celebrations this month!
Food
Amorette’s Patisserie
Chef Jessi has helped design the Jasmine Tea Cream Tart at the bakery with layers of Jasmine Tea Cream, Lychee, Raspberry, & Passion Fruit Gelée, and a Butter Nut Cookie Crust. A chocolate swirl, fondant flower, and edible glitter garnish the top to make it look positively royal.

The Mulan Petit Cake is back again, after originally debuting last year in honor of the live-action Mulan film. The petit cake is made with Matcha and Lemon Chiffon Cakes layered with Green Tea Simple Syrup, Ginger Honey Mousse, Lemon Curd, and Candied Ginger Crumbs.

The Char Siu with Rice will be available at Lotus Blossom Cafe in EPCOT’s China pavilion. This dish features Cantonese-style barbecue pork and is a Chinese food staple!

Also at Lotus Blossom Cafe, you can grab the Red Bean Ice Float made with sweetened Chinese red beans, milk, vanilla ice cream, and crushed ice.

The Matcha Yuzu Ganache Square made with green tea and yuzu dark chocolate ganache will be available at The Ganachery in Disney Springs this month!

Check out The Daily Poutine in Disney Springs for Korean BBQ Fries! These fries are topped with Korean-style bulgogi pulled pork, kimchi, and Sriracha aioli.

At Morimoto Asia, there is a special menu to celebrate the month! It includes dishes celebrating many Asian flavors and cultures with entrees, desserts, and drinks!

Now onto the entertainment!
Entertainment
In Magic Kingdom, Mulan and Moana will join the character cavalcades and wave to guests from the Main Street Railroad Station! We’ve already seen them in the parks, and Disney does note that they will stick around after May!

Mulan will also join the Princess Processional around EPCOT’s World Showcase this month!

House of Good Fortune in EPCOT’s China pavilion will have a feature on Chinese Calligraphy. A demonstration will be held every Wednesday in May at 2PM-3PM or 6PM-7PM.

Mira from Disney Junior’s Mira, Royal Detective will join the Disney Junior Motorcade in Disney’s Hollywood Studios! She’ll also be available at special appearances in the park through the end of June, and we had the pleasure of spotting her in the parks already!

In Disney’s Animal Kingdom, there will be a Moana-themed sand sculpture on Discovery Island! You’ll also get to draw Tuk Tuk from Raya and the Last Dragon or Put from Moana at the Animation Experience on Conservation Station.

The Disney World resorts will feature movies like Lilo and Stitch, Big Hero 6, and Moana for Movie Under the Stars this month!
Shopping
In Disney Springs, the Art of Disney will focus on Asian Pacific American filmmakers, artists, authors, and screenwriters who work with The Walt Disney Animation Studios!

At Basin, a part of the proceeds for the Eucalyptus Mint Soap go to the AAPI Community Fund! Plus, if you pass by AMC Theaters, you’ll spot a large Raya and the Last Dragon art installation.

We’ll be sure to give you a full look at the celebrations we see in Disney World! Stay tuned with All Ears for the latest Disney news!
