This upcoming week is a BIG one for Disney as Disneyland has its reopening and more details about the Disney Wish are shared with the world!

While the “Once Upon a Wish” virtual event will be held on April 29th to show off the newest addition to the Disney Cruise Line fleet, you can take a sneak peek at the ship NOW!
Disney has revealed additional concept art for the Disney Wish, along with its original unveiling of its lobby and areas! Disney has combined enchanting storytelling into its design of the new ship, while combining fan-favorite franchises like Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars in the mix.

The Disney Wish will be unlike anything ever seen on the seas before, but it will still have an elegant and classical exterior with Mickey Mouse’s iconic colors. The hull of the ship will have filigree artwork with Captain Minnie Mouse for the very first time, as well as a custom sculpture of Rapunzel on the stern of the ship. The Disney Princess will be “decorating” the ship with her paintbrushes and pet chameleon, Pascal.

A “whimsical curvature” has been added to the deck edge along either side of the ship for an additional bit of magic. Plus, the inside of the Disney Wish will transport guests into their own fairytale when they step inside the Grand Hall! The design is inspired by Disney Castles with Gothic, Baroque, and French Rocco influences.

Three-story columns line the area, leading up to a GORGEOUS chandelier that is made with a spiral of crystal gems that remind of Tiana’s very own wishing star!

The bronze Cinderella Statue will stand at the base of the grand staircase, complemented by stained glass railings in her signature colors, carpets with icons from the film, and a few nods to her carriage and glass slippers on the metalwork and light fixtures.
