And, the story is about to continue with an epic video game series that you won’t want to miss!

Disney has revealed that ILMxLAB, Lucasfilm’s immersive entertainment studio, will be adding Dok Ondar to Part II of Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge. The studio also released a brand new piece of concept art featuring the mysterious Ithorian and his translation droid, set in Seezelslak’s Cantina. The collector buys, sells, and trades all sorts or relics in over in the Den of Antiquities in the Black Spire Outpost. But, he does have a few tricks up his sleeves because he is the “gatekeeper of the black market.”

Guests have been able to explore Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities in both the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge lands in Disney World and Disneyland. But, the virtual environment will be more expansive and rooted in interactive stories for guests to uncover.

Dok Ondar’s

Director Jose Perez III said that “Dok-Ondar and his famous antiquities shop rests at the heart of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. At ILMxLAB we are having a blast exploring more of his story and building on the lore for one of Black Spire Outpost’s most memorable characters. Being next to Dok-Ondar in virtual reality for the first time is truly a magical moment and we can’t wait for fans to experience it.”

Guests will play as a droid repair technician who crashes onto Batuu after a pirate attack during the game. They will then get to explore the Black Spire Outpost and become a hero as a follow-up to the first game. The second part, though, will open up more places and eras to venture into through the Oculus Quest VR platform.

Dok Ondar’s Atmopshere

Scott Trowbridge, the Walt Disney Imagineering Portfolio Creative Executive, noted “Dok-Ondar is as legendary as the antiquities he has collected from across the galaxy. From the first time we heard about him in Solo: A Star Wars Story, we knew that there was something mysterious about this infamous Ithorian.

And although we’ve been able to learn more about him in the comics or even visit him in person at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, I’m thrilled that fans can now further connect and step even deeper inside his hidden past in Part II of Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge.”
