More Than a Year After Closing, Disneyland’s Rides Are Moving Again!

We are BACK in Disney California Adventure for A Touch of Disney!

A Touch of Disney Signs

We are loving being able to explore Cars Land, Pacific Wharf, Pixar Pier, and Grizzly Peak once again. Oh, and the food is definitely a highlight! Though the park has reopened for guests during the ticketed event, the only thing (well, things) missing is all the rides! But, as we inch towards the reopening date of Disneyland Resort on April 30th, we’re starting to see rides being tested!

Today, we spotted Radiator Springs Racers in MOTION! That’s right, the cars are back to racing and the competition is just warming up! We didn’t spot any passengers while the testing was taking place. So, just like the movies, the cars are the only ones doing the racing right now.

Look at them peeking over the hill!

We hung around for a little while in pure glee as we watched the cars race around Radiator Springs once again. As two cars flew by, another two weren’t all that far behind.

Over at Pixar Pier, we also found that the Incredicoaster was undergoing some testing! The testing here didn’t involve any human subjects either but all the rollercoaster cars were lined up for launch.

Ready for launch!

It was nice to hear the sound of a rollercoaster again in the park!

And, a third ride was funneling ride vehicles through! We could see that Toy Story Midway Mania was doing some testing too!

Last month, the Labor Union confirmed that Disneyland was beginning to call Cast Members back to work for the ticketed event, A Touch of Disney, so all the testing could mean that Cast Members are back at work and brushing up on their training! We will continue to keep our eyes peeled for news and updates about Disneyland Resort reopening so stay tuned!
