Ever wanted to know more about the man who animated a mouse and then created an entire theme park?
Well, there are a few ways to learn more about Walt Disney and trace his footsteps through history. If you’re visiting Disney World, you can stop into One Man’s Dream at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and check out some memorabilia from Walt’s history. Or, if you’re on the west coast, you can stop into the Walt Disney Family Museum. And, now there’s a new location from Walt’s animation history that is in development.
According to Fox 4, plans are in the works to renovate Walt Disney’s original animation studio in Kansas City. The idea has been around for a while now but the project is just now starting to receive funding.
The animation studio is located in what is known as the Laugh-O-Gram building and is where Walt lived and worked in the years before he created Mickey Mouse.
This long thought of project is set to finally begin with updates to the exterior of the building beginning this spring. Though, much more funding will be needed to complete the renovations and open up the location for guests. Stay tuned for more Disney news and updates!
