Theaters may be shut down right now, but musicals are still thriving currently!

Ratatouille the Musical had its online debut, while West Side Story is set to premiere later this year. And, there are even more musical films in the making right now that theatre goers and fans will be THRILLED about!
According to Forbes, the live-action musical adaptation of Wicked has received a new director! Previously, Stephen Daldry was slated to helm the production, but now Jon M. Chu has been announced as the director instead.

Chu has been known for his directorial work on films like In the Heights, Step Up 3-D and Now You See Me 2. Since Universal is taking a beloved stage show and bringing it to the big screen, Chu is a great fit for Wicked‘s material due to his experience with other musical films.

Casting and a release date haven’t been announced just yet, but we will continue to keep you updated! Stay tuned with All Ears!
