After a delayed wait, Pixar fans finally were able to watch the new film Soul over the holidays.
And, there’s more to look forward to because Disney and Pixar have teamed together to create another animated film called Luca. Though the release isn’t until this summer, we just got an exclusive first look at the film!
The new animated film is about a boy named Luca and his friend Alberto who are sea creatures that appear as humans on dry land. And, Empire shared a sneak peek at these boys in their human form in a town on the coast of Italy.
Director Enrico Casarosa wanted to make a film that embodied the childhood friendship that developed him from a shy boy into more of a troublemaker and Luca is the result of that dream. In the film, these boys will befriend a human girl along the way during an unforgettable summer.
Luca is set to arrive in theaters on June 18th, 2021! With the premiere less than six months away we’re sure to see more previews of the new film. Stay tuned and we’ll keep you up to date as we learn more!
