Six Disney Ride Characters We Need a Backstory Movie for ASAP

Say what you want about Disney movie characters, they’re not the only ones who deserve a lot of love.

We all know Cinderella’s backstory, Mickey’s life couldn’t be further from a mystery, and Hades’ tragic sibling rivalry is out for the world to see. But those aren’t the characters we’re looking to know more about. Honestly, there are some Disney World ride characters who need a movie of their own; we need those backstories, people!

Let’s take a look at the ride characters who deserve their very own movies!

1. Dr. Grant Seeker from DINOSAUR

Give us a Dr. Grant Seeker movie. PLEASE. We love Dr. Seeker — he’s the reckless and charming scientist who sends you back in time to save the Iguanadon on DINOSAUR. But what secrets lie in his past?

How did this fella become such a rule-breaker (sorry, Dr. Marsh)? And did he learn NOTHING from Jurassic Park? We need answers, and a Dr. Seeker movie would be just the place to find them.

2.  Dr. Jackie Ogden from AVATAR: Flight of Passage

You might remember Dr. Jackie Ogden as the scientist on AVATAR: Flight of Passage who looks suspiciously similar to Sigourney Weaver. We need an in-universe, Pandora based flick about Jackie, and we need it ASAP.

Could Dr. Ogden actually BE the long lost sister of Dr. Grace Augustine (Sigourney Weaver’s character in Avatar)? Or perhaps she’s a clone! Hey, they can put people into the Na’Vi, why couldn’t they clone Sigourney Weaver?

3. Constance Hatchaway from Haunted Mansion

We’re pretty sure there’s not a soul in the world who would disagree with us on the fact that Constance Hatchaway — Haunted Mansion’s very own murder bride — needs that backstory immortalized on the big screen.

We could see what brought her to be such a murderous lass, the various husbands she opted to dispatch, and how she herself met her end! Pick your tone — slasher flick, rom-com, drama — we’ll take whatever.

4. Dr. Stevens from AVATAR: Flight of Passage

You might know Dr. Stevens better as the “Uh…fly” guy from AVATAR: Flight of Passage. Yes, the one who works under Dr. Jackie Ogden. We’ve gotta know, what makes this guy SO incredulous that he can’t even get through a sentence?

Perhaps he has dreamed of riding a banshee his entire life. Maybe he lost his parents in a tragic accident where patching them into a Na’vi host could have saved them. We don’t know, but a movie could clear it up for us.

5. Aerosmith’s Angry Manager from Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

We all know about Aerosmith. They’re cool. They’re rock ‘n’ roll. But what about Aerosmith’s angry manager? We would venture to say that she might be more rock ‘n’ roll than the rest of Aerosmith COMBINED. Yep, we went there.

Forget Steven Tyler. Let’s have Make It a Super Stretch: The Tale of Aerosmith’s Angry Manager.

6. Warden Wilson Matua from Kilimanjaro Safaris

This might be the best idea we’ve ever had. Please give us a Wilson Matua film. You might remember Wilson as the warden on Harambe Reserve, the location of Kilimanjaro Safaris.

This guy is so cool. Not only does he spend his days surrounded by amazing wildlife, but he’s also got some SERIOUS experience tracking down poachers.  Wouldn’t you like to see his story?
