Gorilla Photography at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

It is not every walk on the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail in Disney’s Animal Kingdom which is photographically satisfying. Often the Gorillas are either not moving or hiding behind trees. However, on most visits, the bachelor troup is often very active.

Gorilla Knuckle-Walking

While gorillas can walk upright on their back legs, they knuckle walk most of the time. This photo has a distracting background. I still like it as you can see his eyes.

When not walking, they are sitting like this gentleman.

A lot of time when they are sitting, they have their back turned to the people on the trail. I was happy to see this one was not.

This next photo has me wondering if he was trying to tell me something.

What do you think?

I often tell you to be patient when photographing the animals at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It was not the case on this visit as I took all of these photos within 3 minutes of each other.
