While it’s totally unprecedented that all the Disney Parks around the world are closed, students have had to embark on a pretty unprecedented journey this semester as well.

As they’ve been taking classes online (and maybe adding some extra pixie dust to their meetings), the Class of 2020 experienced a different kind of graduation. But, Disney would still like to honor this year’s graduates with a bit of magic!

The President of Walt Disney World, Josh D’Amaro, wanted to give a few words of wisdom to the Class of 2020 as they go on their newest adventure after graduation.

All the way from Magic Kingdom, he told graduates that “You represent our future. You represent the world’s source of inspiration, our source of new ideas, and our source of new stories.” Since Disney uses its storytelling to change how we see the world, he thought it was important to note that the graduates have the power to change the world, starting right now.

D’Amaro stated that, while their graduations may have been untraditional, the students are also untraditional and outstanding. He went on to thank the professors, faculties, families, and friends for influencing the students to continue pushing themselves.

And, finally, D’Amaro said that he will be celebrating the graduates’ achievements as they start a new chapter filled with “adventure, happiness, and — yes — a little magic too.”
