Disney World Annual Passes Just Got a Major Price Increase

‘Tis the morning for price increases at the Disney Parks!

Cinderella Castle

Earlier today we saw some price increases roll out for ticket and annual pass prices at Disneyland, and now we’ve got some price increases for Disney World Annual Passes as well.

Disney World has seen a major price increase for many of their Annual Pass tiers, including some of their Florida resident-exclusive pass options. For non-Florida residents, the park’s Platinum Plus Pass jumped from $1,219 to $1,295, while the Platinum Pass raised from $1,119 to $1,195. Additionally, the Disney Premier Pass, which gives access to both Disney World and Disneyland, has raised by $100 to $2,199.

For the Florida Resident Annual Passes, a few tiers stayed the same, while others did see an increase. The Florida Resident/DVC Platinum Plus is still $999, while the Florida Resident Platinum Pass/DVC is still $899. The pricing for Theme Park Select Pass also stood at $439. The Florida Resident Annual Passes that did see a price increase were:

  • Gold Pass: $719 (previously $699)
  • Silver Pass: $539 (previously $519)
  • Weekday Select Pass: $369 (previously $349)
  • Epcot After 4 Pass: $319 (previously $304)

For Florida residents, Disney World does continue to offer monthly payment options for their Annual Passes.

  1. I dropped down from a FL Platinum Plus to a FL Gold pass when I renewed last month because of the spike in the price I saw. I now have 2 blackout periods but they didn’t seem worth the extra cost to avoid.

  2. Purchased our annual passes for the first time 2 weeks ago and unknowingly saved $300.00. Hope to see them stay at this price for a few years (wishful thinking). However, many magical memories will be made in the next year at WDW.

  3. As we near our third year to purchase we see a jump of $100.00 per person since we began. At present a mere $20 seems low but overall we cannot continue to do so. I don’t understand such increases year after year in ticket prices. Floridians will have to find alternatives and there are many. This could be easily offset by a minimal decrease of salary for the top-heavy elite. Sorry Walt. They are ruining your legacy.

  4. I guess we knew that annual passes would go up this year. It may not be feasible, affordable or practical for me to get a pass anymore. I am very sad about that however as WDW is my favorite vacation destination .

  5. Wasn’t affected because I had a gut feeling and bought ours last month, even though we’re not going until November. Whew! Saved us $130 as a couple and that’s not chump change!

  6. I already ditched my annual pass after the last hideous hike. They can raise prices to infinity and beyond (!) now as far as I’m concerned.
