Breaking: Epcot’s Regal Eagle Smokehouse Menu Released

The moment has finally arrived: Disney has released the full official menus for the supposed-to-open-in-December-but-what’s-going-on-now restaurant, Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue!

The smokehouse — which is hosted by none other than Sam the Eagle — is located in the American Adventures pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase. It was scheduled to open in December 2019, but the calendar turned, and Regal Eagle didn’t open.

So we wait. But while we wait… we drool over the menus!

Entrees include plenty of meat, from a Barbecue Burger topped with Barbecue Pork to a North Carolina Chopped Smoked Pork Butt Platter to the pricey (but great deal on DDP QS if it happens!) American Platter with a choice of three meats.

Entrees

Remember that Regal Eagle is going to have four house-made, regional sauces to enhance all that meaty goodness, so plan accordingly. 😉

Sauces

At present, there is only one plant-based entree: the Barbecue Jackfruit Burger. But some of the sides will satisfy the plant-based diners, too.

We want a side of House-made Pickles ASAP!

Plant-Based and Sides

Kids can select from four kids’ menu options including a Barbecue Chicken Leg on the Disney Check menu and a straightforward Cheeseburger on the regular kids’ menu.

Dessert keeps it simple with just three options. We’re all in for the Fresh Watermelon Cup in the dead of Florida summer!

Desserts and Beverages

Some alcoholic beverages will be available in addition to typical fountain beverages. There are four beer options.

Beer

Just a handful of wine options here. And for now, there’s just one Specialty Cocktail: Tennessee Lemonade with Jack Daniel’s (of course).

Disney’s official Regal Eagle page still says “Coming Soon”, and construction appeared to be on-going when we visited recently. So we’ll keep you updated as we learn when the smokehouse will start serving up the good stuff!

  1. I can only assume that their BBQ meats will be lackluster, unless they’re actually smoking their meats in the back for 24+ hours.

I would love to see some real Cajun food offerings in The American Adventure, but they already have Cafe Orleans over at Disneyland, and let’s just say it’s… not worth replicating on the east coast.

Is Disney’s distrust in their customers’ palates warranted? For all the complaining that goes on about Disney parks food (half of Epcot excluded), is it just because we’re actually a vocal minority, and the masses actually don’t like authentically exotic food? Even a juicy smoked brisket, or a dark gumbo, or some authentic Chinese food?

  2. American food is so much more than the barbecue and smoked meats that are always chosen to represent the USA at themed restaurants.
