Disney Pic of the Week: Black Rhinoceros

Black Rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis) is sometimes seen on Disney’s Kilimanjaro Safaris. I say sometimes as it often hides way back in its enclosure as the trucks pass on by. I was lucky on this safari as it was very close to the road.

The longest known black rhinoceros horn measured nearly 5 feet or 1.5 meters in length. In captivity, the horns are keep short and dull for safety of the animals and handlers.
