Calling all Cheese Lovers! Disney just announced a brand-new family activity for this year’s Epcot International Food and Wine Festival.

Named after Remy’s brother in Ratatouille, Emile’s Fromage Montage is a cheese-based “scavenger hunt” of sorts throughout the Festival.

So how does it work? It’s simple!
All you have to do is order and delight in any FIVE of the cheese-based dishes from the Global Marketplaces. Make sure to collect a stamp in your Festival Passport for each dish. (This is important!)

Once you’ve enjoyed your five cheese dishes, take your stamped passport to the Shimmering Sips Mimosa Bar. There you will receive a complimentary cheesecake made just for the festival!

Sounds fun right?! As if I needed another reason to eat cheese…
This FREE activity (outside the cost of the food items of course) is a great way to get kids excited about the festival, and is a great activity for the whole family to do together.

Another fun activity for the kiddos is Remy’s Hide and Squeak. The popular scavenger hunt is returning for 2019! While not free, it is an inexpensive activity that kids love! (Last year it was $5.99 + tax. We will let you know if that changes in 2019.)
Simply purchase the Scavenger Hunt at participating locations (you’ll see the signs in front of the shops), and then have fun looking for Remy throughout the World Showcase!
Once you see him in a pavilion, add the corresponding sticker to the map. When you’ve found them all, return to where you started to collect a fun prize!
This is a great way to keep the kids engaged, while Mom and Dad enjoy sampling a few noshes and wines from around the World.
But back to cheese…

Some of our favorite returning cheese dishes include:
- Loaded Mac ‘n’ Cheese at Active Eats
- Cheddar Cheese Soup in Canada
- Warm Irish Cheddar Cheese and Stout Dip with Irish Brown Bread in Ireland
- Pão de queijo: Brazilian cheese bread in Brazil
- Trio of Artisan Cheese at the Wine and Dine Studio

We are also looking forward to trying new cheese-based items, coming to NEW 2019 Festival locations!
The Alps will have Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese with Baby Potatoes, Cornichons and Baguette on the menu, and The Appleseed Orchard is featuring a Charcuterie and Cheese Plate featuring Burton’s Maplewood Farm Applejack Brandy Barrel Aged Maple Syrup.
