I visited the Polynesian Resort to check out some of the changes from the ongoing renovation there. The Polynesian has always been filled with great artwork, including colorful paintings in the lobby and throughout the guest rooms. New paintings hang on the temporary construction wall that surrounds and blocks off the center of the main lobby.
Some of these paintings have Hidden Mickeys! Check out this one in the surf.
I was happy to spot an old reliable classic (three-circle) Hidden Mickey as you enter the front entrance at the lower level. It’s in the floor flagstones, right up against the temporary construction wall.
Some of the chairs in the waiting area outside ‘Ohana Restaurant have circles in their backs that form classic Mickeys at times (like this sideways Hidden Mickey at the upper right corner). I had to move the back cushion to spot the circles, or you can sometimes see the circles while standing behind the chair. (Thanks to Charles Tyner).
It took me a while to locate these next tiny, white Hidden Mickeys! There are four sets of double Hidden Mickeys along the lagoon walkway, about halfway between the Polynesian and the Wedding Pavilion. Find them on the side of the walkway away from the shore; they’re at the wall of the small building behind the stage for Disney’s Spirit of Aloha show. They appear every few feet along the length of the wall. (Thanks to Lauren Benson).
A great Hidden Mickey at the Grand Floridian Resort pool has been more visible lately and not hidden by a waterfall. It’s in the middle and high up on the rock wall beside the pool. (Thanks to Sharon Dale, and Charles Tyner).
While on Disney property, always be alert for the new Hidden Mickey!
I love to find hidden mickeys , but i am horrible at it !! Where is the hidden mickey in the surf pic at Polly ?
We saw one of these Hidden Mickeys while sitting on our patio at the Polynesian. At first I thought it was a sticker or paint or something a child stuck on the ground. Have never seen one before on the patio. Loved looking at that every time I sat outside……
