Thank You – Avon Walk for Breast Cancer

I leave in the morning for the Washington DC Avon Walk for Breast Cancer! I want to take this time to thank everyone who has supported me over the last year. From my Business Sponsors to Team AllEars Running with Purpose, to all who participated in my Collectables for a Cause Auctions, to each and every one of you – I thank you so very much!

Together we CAN and DO make a difference and have raised over $66,000!!!! Once again, you have helped me become the Number 1 fundraiser in Washington DC.

I’ll be reporting via Twitter (allearsdeb) and Facebook this weekend so you can watch my journey. This year is especially important to me as I will be participating in the Opening and Closing Ceremony. At the Opening Ceremony I will be one of several participants speaking why we are In this to End It! At Closing I will be sharing my story of being a 24 year breast cancer survivor.

After I return home, I’ll post photos to the blog (and hopefully some video) to the blog.

After that, I have a trip 2 trips in 4 weeks – one to Walt Disney World and one to Disneyland so there are lots of Disney blogs a coming!

Again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your incredible support.

  1. Hi Deb,

Congrats on the amount of money you raised. My mother-in-law and 2 dear friends of mine are breast cancer survivors.

I was wondering when you are going to be at Disneyland because I will be there in May and I have always wanted to meet you. I will be there May 16-20. If you are going to be there then, maybe we can meet somewhere.

DEB: I will be in Disneyland in June. We have a meet scheduled for June 11th!

  3. Wow Deb that’s great! I worked at a radiation oncology office, and became really close to many of the women that were starting & ending treatment. It was very hard for some of these ladies, and since I saw them everyday I tried to always make them smile 😉 or a little joke.

Have a great time in DC, and I can’t wait to read the blogs about my fav WDW.

  4. Hi Deb, good luck this weekend! Let’s hope the heat isn’t too bad. I’ll be crewing at Rest Stop 3. Have a great time!

    DEB: Crew Rocks!!!!!
