We had dinner here in August 2017. The bread service is fantastic. We did not make a meal of it, but you certainly could. Recommend getting the option with all the dipping sauces. The cost difference is minimal and it's fun to try them all. The rest of the food was also great, as was the service.
The best thing is the view and being able to watch the animals from the table. Try to get a window front table - we asked the host and only had to wait about 10 minutes extra, well worth it.
If you are not staying at Aminal Kingdom lodge, it takes a bit of effort transportation wise to get to the restaurant but it was well worth it.

Just got back from our Honeymoon in October and we really enjoyed this excursion. Its so nice to spend time in a small group away from the crowds and get some quality time discussing the animals with knowledgeable guides. The tour focuses primarily on crocodiles and hippos but you also go out to the savannah at the end.
The food is also nice and the physical demands of the trek are minimal. The bridge crossing could be a problem if you have a fear of heights but other than that I can't think of anything that could cause someone any problems.

We ate here in Sept and everyone ordered hot dogs with either kraut, or the loaded hot dogs which had chili, cheese, mac n cheese. They had two sizes if you want to share order the large size its worth your money. The smaller ones are just as good for individuals but you spend more $. We always enjoy this place but hate the long lines and having to find a table.

I wish they would post the bus times on the TV, just like they post the hrs of the parks. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Visited 9/14-18/17 2nd time at F&W with family. Visited during the day and still was pretty busy but not long lines. 1st time for children to attend ds24,ds19,dd21,dd9. They loved all the choices and used the passport to keep track of offerings. We were on meal plan and used the snack credits to share options. We had plenty to eat. Most surprising was dd9 who usually is a picky eater loved the challenge of sampling all the foods and did very well. She was the most excited out of everyone and actually wanted to do a food blog for children visiting F&W. We will have to think about that one but she would have done very well as she really had her opinions on the food choices. Her only complaint was the lack of non alcoholic options for kids and thought it would be a neat idea to offer more than just water or pop. We only encountered a drunken attendee who was streaming obsencities throughout most of the park we did notice security walking toward the individual and headed the opposite direction. We will visit again in a few years as we are AP holders and DVC members and want to explore different times of the year.

This was our first time eating at California Grill. Our ADR was for 8:55, but we checked in and were seated a little early.
When we walked off the elevator into the restaurant, I was very surprised at how loud and bustling the place was. We still had a wonderful dinner, but if you are looking for a quiet "date night" sort of restaurant, this is not it.
We were seated and had our appetizers just before the fireworks. Right at 9:00, we went out on the balcony and watched. It was an amazing view - the music is piped in nice and loud.
Our server was fantastic and our food was very good. For appetizers we had Oysters Rockefeller and the Goat Cheese Ravioli. They were both very good. For our entrees we had 2 different steaks. They were both prepared very well and the mashed potatoes were very good. For our deserts we had the chocolate cake and the beignets. All our food was excellent.

After several years of not having eaten at the Wilderness Lodge, we finally made it back on Sunday 10/15. I was pleased that it was just as good as I recalled. We did not have a reservation, but were seated within just a few minutes. It was not very crowded. Our waiter was very attentive. I stared with the land greens salad, which was great. For entree I had the buckwheat agnolotti, while my mom had the Buffalo. Both were superb, and quite filling as well. So full in fact we did not have room for desert! In terms of price, it was on par with the quality (although we do have tables in wonderland, which certainly helps). Overall, it was everything a signature restaurant should be, and worth returning too.

We had breakfast at the GF Cafe, on Friday 10/13, and it was just lovely. We did not have a reservation, but only had to wait about 10-15 minutes. We had a lovely table inside, next to a window. I had a rather large, but tasty, glass of grapefruit juice, plus coffee. They brought us a basket of biscuits to start, which was a nice tough. For entrees, I had the veggie quiche, plus a side of potatoes, while my mom had the GF Breakfast. It was more than enough food and we were quite full. They even gave me a cupcake at the end, as it happened to be my birthday. The value is always excellent (especially with tables in wonderland). The cafe is always a sure-fire bet.

We stayed for a week, 10/11-18, at the GF Villas, and what a lovely stay it was. It's really a taste of "old florida," with modern, luxury touches. It's always a thrill to get out of your room and hear "She Belongs To Me," or "White Jazz." Unfortunately most of those touches are lost on people, but it shows the extent to which Disney goes to immerse you in a story/theme. In any case, the room was great (studio), as was the staff. The Grand Floridian is really the "place to be," and the grounds, restaurants, bars, etc...are all superb. The only complaint, and this is more of a DVC issue, it that we were there for a whole week, and did not receive a full cleaning, only a trash and towel! There were only two of us in the room, and it was quite dirty after a week. I spoke to a front desk clerk, and she informed me it was only after eight nights, not seven, do you get a full cleaning. If you're a cash-paying guest, you do get a full cleaning every day. Otherwise, everything was marvelous, and can't wait to return!

Cruised the Fantasy Oct 13 to 16 with our grandchildren. The teenager had a great time in the Vibe area. The 8 year old and 4 year old loved the Oceaneer Club and all the crew members in charge of the area. This is a great spot for kids. Lots of things to keep them busy. They put a gps tracker on the kids so when you go to pick them up they know what area the child is in. This is an awsome place. They get to have fun and the adults get to enjoy some adult time!
