Review of Be Our Guest -Counter Service Lunch

The one thing I would say about lunch here is to PRE ORDER! Every time we are here, I look at the incredible line of people waiting to order and wonder why they are putting themselves through that! We were checked in, through the pre-order line, had drinks, and were at our table in under 15 mins. The food was wonderful as always, and the setting is just amazing, particularly if you love Beauty and the Beast.
Pros:
Setting, food quality better than other quick serve'sCons:

this is my family's home away from home. Party of 11 and they just love this resort. Had a studio and a 2 bedroom. Studio was ready when we checked in but the 2 bedroom wasn't ready until after 4:00. Mousekeeping did a great job of trying to get the 2 bedroom ready for us and went out of their way to please us. The resort did a good job of getting the studio and villa close to one another.
The outside of the resort was a little dirty, but they cleaned the outside during our stay.
We stayed at other resorts, but this one gives us so much room. my one grandson said "Boy, its great to be home".
It also nice to be able to park your car outside your villa, which makes it easier to unload the car.
The kids were looking forward to renting the small boats at the resort, but there gone now.
My grandkids having been coming to Old Key West since they were babies. I am really surprise how much they love this resort. Some are married now and the others are in their teens and they still request this resort every time we come down. members since 1995

party of 11 - had 2 tables up front - had great views.
the meal was great and the characters were terrific. spent a lot of time with us and got some great pictures and memories.
Our waiter was great and very helpful with our food allergy.
I thought I got my money's worth. Had tables in wonderland which gave me 20% off my meal. Really enjoyed our experience here.

got the food plan because I didn't feel the price for a child's meal was worth the price. this way with the dining plan the children get 2 snacks, a refillable mug, a quick service meal and a sit down character meal. otherwise I would have paid $24.00 just for 1 meal. oh yeah I thought I got my money's worth just with the children meal alone.
a 3 year old doesn't eat as much as a 9 year old. I feel they price should be change to reflect the eating habits of a 3 year old.
even a 11 yr old doesn't eat as much as a adult and to charge them an adult price isn't fair.
had a party of 2 with us, that didn't have the dining plan. was 1 adult and 11 yr old. if they 11 yr old ate more than 4 things her mother was lucky. so her mother paid $47.00 for her dinners and she hardly ate anything. I guess she paid for the experiences of eating at Disney restaurants.

We visited Citricos at Grand Floridian for the first time on Christmas night. GF is so beautiful, especially at Christmas. We got there early so we'd have time to walk around, take a picture in front of their Christmas tree, see the gingerbread house, maybe shop and listen to the orchestra playing Christmas music. The atmosphere was perfect!
Once we checked in at Citricos we only waited a few minutes to be seated. The restaurant is very pretty. Our waitress was quick to take our order but we never felt rushed.
All in all the food was good. I had a crab cake app which was amazing, my entre, beef short ribs, were pretty good. My wife and both daughters liked their entrees but they were not as happy with their choices as I was. Two had chicken and one had filet.
I also very much enjoyed my salted caramel martini. The desserts were amazing - gingerbread cheesecake, tiramisu and chocolate banana tort.
It was a very good meal but I guess we set the bar a little too high. We all expected to be blown away by Citricos and so maybe we were a little disappointed. We've been to Narcoosee's and the GF Café and both were better. However, I'm sure we will go back someday.

We enjoyed multiple visits to Geyser Point during our stay Feb 26- Mar 1. You really can't beat the view and comfortable atmosphere. The service was a bit slow at times, but I believe this is something that will be smoothed out after a few more weeks of operation. We enjoyed some delicious breakfast options, which you order from the quick service window and a server delivers to your table. We also dined for lunch a couple of times. To order from the full menu, you sit wherever you like and the servers will bring you a menu. There is a full bar but they also offer specialty cocktails. Due to the construction, the Trout Pass pool bar and Roaring Fork food court are closed. Once these dining options re-open, I am wondering if the menu at Geyser Point will change. For now, it was a nice place to serve our quick service, table service and casual bar needs.

We ate at the Flying Fish on March 1, 2017. It was our fourth time there, but the first since the renovation. We had high expectations, but I'm sorry to say we left very disappointed. On a positive note, the food was excellent and we very much liked the new look. However, my wife and I both thought the menu didn't offer as much variety as in past visits and was more limited. I was disappointed by the wine list. Lots of bottles from California in the $50-100 range, but very few French wines and I think only one white wine over $100. I would have gladly paid more for something different and that I was confident would be of good quality and pair well with our meal, but I could not find anything. Our waitperson was no help in finding a good wine and seemed to lack any meaningful knowledge, and did not offer to find the sommelier to assist. Our waitperson also was not particularly attentive. The dessert menu left us so uninspired, we skipped dessert, which is rare for us. Overall, it was quite the contrast from California Grill, where we had a wonderful meal two nights earlier. Sadly, we will skip Flying Fish on our next trip and probably a trip or two after.
Pros:
Food was excellent, new look is refined and polishedCons:

Trader Sam's is a quirky fun bar with creative drinks and theatrics to match. We enjoyed our experience, but you really need to understand what you are getting yourself into when going in. First, the place is very small. We waited about 20 minutes before we could sit inside. No problem, as we were able to shop and walk around the resort as we waited. We were able to describe our likes and dislikes to our server and she made some recommendations. The drinks are pricey, but this is not your typical bar. We also ordered several items from the kitchen. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious- a pleasant surprise. Drink orders come with audience and Server participation. What can I say- It's just a fun place!

We scored a same day reservation for LTT and it was a good choice. The menu is limited so we decided on the All Your Care to Enjoy Platter, the food came out at a good pace and everything was good. The mac and cheese looked a little suspect, but turned out to be quite tasty; actually everything we ate was very good. We really enjoyed eating here and would not hesitate to return.

There was no wait to order and we received our food shortly after ordering. The food was hot and fresh but nothing exceptional. We ordered the orange chicken, egg rolls and veggie stir fry, it tasted like something you would get at a mall food court. The dining area was clean and well stocked with condiments and utensils.
