BREAKING: Release Date Announced for Disney’s Live-Action ‘Tangled’

And at last we see the light, because we just got a release date for the new live-action Tangled!

After months of waiting, we finally know when this highly anticipated adaptation will be on our screens!

Disney has just announced that Tangled will be released on March 31st, 2028!

Kathryn Hahn, Mother Gothel herself, was at the Entertainment Showcase D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

While we still do not know a ton about this movie, we know that it started production in Spain back in June 2026. This movie is starring Teagan Croft as Rapunzel and Milo Manheim as Flynn Ryder. 

We also know that the iconic Kathryn Hahn will be playing the role of Mother Gothel, and we are thrilled to see her interpretation of this villain come to life. 

Tangled is the next in a long line of Disney Princess live-action adaptations to hit our screens. The first was back in 2015 with Cinderella.

And in the past decade since that film was released with have also gotten adaptations for Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Mulan, The Little Mermaid, Snow White, and Moana. We are so excited to see Tangled join this incredible lineup.
