My son and I tried the French - French Fries, Mushroom Cream Sauce, and Gruyere.

Wow really tasty, and a decent size portion.
For $8.99 a few more fries would be nice, but we enjoyed it very much.

It was made to order...nice and hot.
I loved it and can't wait to go back for another visit.

Pros:

Fresh and Hot

Review of Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza

There were 6 of us for lunch today 8/14/16. When we arrived a little after 12 there was a very short line. We decided to do 4 make your own pizzas. The service was great. To start you choose your sauce and cheese(s). There is the usual mozzarella and Parmesan. We also enjoyed the goat cheese, it gave the pizza a nice smoky flavor. They did not hesitate when we asked for extra cheese. The topping choices were great. We enjoyed everything from pepperoni and the usual veggies to artichokes that were super yummy. Every one behind the counter was super patient while my 10 year old decided what she wanted. The pizzas came out fast and super hot. My in-laws shared a pizza and it was plenty for them. I feel for the price, it's a great alternative to the usual park food.

They have a large beverage selection. I am a Dr Pepper lover and I was so happy to find it, since it's non-existent on property for the most part. The blood orange lemonade was good also.

My only complaint is, we ate inside and had to contend with quite a few flies. I understand that they come in when people open the doors. I just feel like they should work on something to combat this.

Pros:

Lots of choices, Price, Portions

Review of House of Blues Restaurant and Bar

We really like this place and dined there on 1st Aug. No problem with the voodoo shrimp, steaks and desserts but the server was just terrible. Once he knew we were on DDP his attitude changed dramatically. He did not ask how things were and did not offer sauces etc. or refills, virtually threw my magic band back onto the table and slammed the desserts down when he eventually brought them. Should have complained but just let it go.
We will return but watch who's serving us.

Pros:

Food and decor

Cons:

Awful server

This was so good we ate hear three times in two weeks despite staying over at Caribbean Beach Resort and not at the Grand Floridian.
We stayed at the GF almost ten years ago and liked this quick service restaurant at the time. Since the refurb a few years ago there are far more indoor tables.
I confess I stuck to the create your own salad bar on all three visits. You choose your leaf base (European leaves or Romaine) then add steak or chicken and then a cast member fills your salad bowl along a huge choice of salads from the basic cucumber, tomato etc to the more unusual chick peas, peas and broccoli - finally you choose the dressing you would like. Awesome.
My daughter also had the salad three times but she tried both the chicken and steak.
My son had the salad once and the burger (which he thought was excellent) and the pizza (more bread than pizza).
Dessert choice is not as good as you would expect from here although I did have a very nice German chocolate cake on the first trip; we tended to stick to the generic apples with caramel or fruit salad on the vast majority of trips.
You can reach here easily from the MK and it makes a perfect break whether visiting by boat or monorail.
Finally, we had the most friendly service ever from the delightful Cat and her friend Cindy.
What more could you ask for?

Pros:

Best counter service salad and fabulous service

We love this place. You can eat very well at table service standard on the quick service plan.
The dining plan value is outstanding although I must mention the one exception is the drinks where only fountain drinks are available on the dining plan. You pay extra for chocolate milk, cranberry juice etc.
We tried (over our three or four visits during our two week stay) the pizza, various salads (favourites were the greek salad and the Caesar with chicken) the quarter chicken with mash was very good too..
We stuck to the cheesecake and fruit salad as desserts. The cheesecake is absolutely amazing with a crisp crème brulee topping.
Unfortunately the outstanding crème brulee is no longer available on the dining plan.

Pros:

table service quality food at counter service price

Cons:

no more creme brulee on the dining plan

Review of Earl of Sandwich

We love the sandwiches here. On our arrival day this was the vote for the first dinner after a very long day and a nine hour flight.
My son had been dreaming of the holiday sandwich for months and it did not disappoint.
All the sandwiches we tried on this and our subsequent visit were fantastic. The side orders available here on the quick service plan are ridiculously poor (not even a cup of fruit available - grapes yes, mixed fruit no.) The salads were barely a side salad size. However taking the value for money on the qsdp out of the equation the sandwiches are undoubtedly worth a visit.

Pros:

great sandwiches

Cons:

average salads and cramped/busy seating

We ate here twice during our visit in July/August 2016.
During the first weekend of our vacation we headed over for a late breakfast. We all chose to have the fabulous fresh cream mickey waffles (two with fresh strawberries and the third with chocolate chips and chocolate sauce). Honestly the best counter service breakfast you can get at a resort or park.
We returned at the end of our two holiday for a dinner before heading to the Magic Kingdom.
We split a chicken sandwich, burger and wilderness salad. I have to say I couldn't have eaten the salad as a main course (which is unusual for me as I adore a good salad). It was basically a waldorf salad with grated cheese. Nice but not awesome.

Pros:

amazing for breakfast and dinner.

Cons:

out of way if travelling from other resorts.

Review of Trail's End Restaurant

I was extremely surprised that this buffet was as good as it was. My family talked me into eating at Trails End, and I'm glad we did! There were so many choices on the buffet that were not listed on the menu. The brisket and baked potatoes were to die for! My husband ate several plates of steamed shrimp. My daughter, 13 ate ribs, baked beans, mashed potatoes, fries chicken, salmon... The corn bread was moist and warm. There were endless salads, pastas, soups, fruit and desserts. One reason we ate at Trails End was because we rented a golf cart so we could drive around the campgrounds and see the decorated campsites/RVs, as well as watch the water parade and fire works from the beach and go to Chip and Dales campfire. This was one of our favorite evenings. We planned on taking the boat to MK but stayed at Ft Wilderness the entire evening!

Pros:

Excellent food and service

Cons:

server didn't know facts, trivia or history of artifacts

Review of Animal Kingdom Lodge KIDANI Village (Disney Vacation Club)

If you love animals, stunning architecture, amazing food, and lots to do, I highly recommend Kidani. My kids always had something to do. We learned so much from the cultural reps. There isn't a QS, but Sanaa is delicious. I went on the culinary tour at Boma and Jiko. (Jambo House) Tebby was a gracious and very informative guide. We walked and took the shuttle to Jambo to eat at Mara (QS). It was very good! The zebra domes are one of the best desserts I've ever eaten! The walk from our room, 7955, was a HIKE to the lobby and pool until I discovered using the elevator to the parking garage.

Pros:

Learned a lot about African culture.

Cons:

Walking from room to lobby
