We arrived at AOA on Saturday, April 16, 2016 and stayed for 13 nights. We had done online check in and gave an arrival time of 11am. At 10:30am I received a text message indicating our room was ready. We were driving and still in Georgia at this point. The text included our room number and a link for a map. I had printed a map before leaving home so I already knew exactly where to go. When making our initial reservations, I requested a room in building 7 nearest the Lion King section. This would be the closest to the food court, bus stops, store, etc. During online check in my requests were near transportation and lake view. ALL of these requests were met. Upon arrival our magic bands worked perfect getting into our room. Our first impressions were great. We loved the theming in our room and out. Our view of the lake and Pop Century were great. Beds are double beds. We aren't large people so this wasn't an issue but we definitely could tell the difference from our queen at home. Now for the walk from the Little Mermaid rooms to Animation Hall and the bus stops. The first few days we thought, this isn't so bad. However towards the end of the two weeks it felt longer. Everyone has their own opinion on what a long walk is. In preparation for this we brought our own little coffee maker with all the fixings to make our morning coffee in the room. That ended up being a life saver. I found one on clearance and bought disposable coffee cups and spoons from our local dollar store. I brought sugar and coffee from home and found a jug of milk from our local grocery store that had a two week date on it. Being that we were driving we were able to bring a lot of stuff from home that normally would have to be bought on site. That meant there was no need to buy the refillable mugs. Our stay, as always, was amazing. I firmly believe no matter what resort we choose we will always have a great time. It is Disney after all. Having said that, we probably will only stay at AOA again if we need a family suite. Mainly because our goal is to stay at a different resort each time we go.

We dined here on April 17, 2016 around 1pm. I can't remember what time we checked in but I do remember we only waited about 5 minutes for our table. There were just two of us, adults. Our table was right by the door to the kitchen. Some might find this annoying but it didn't make much difference to us. Our waiter was very nice. I really need to write their names down. I always say I'll remember but I never do. Anyhow, both hubby and I ordered the meatloaf. It came with corn and mashed potatoes. It was delicious. Portions perfect. Would definitely eat here again.

Hubby and I had a late lunch here on April 19, 2016. We waited about 15-20 minutes for a table. This is a must do for us every trip. We both got the build your own angus burger with fries. It was delicious. Atmosphere was the same as always but that and the food is what keeps us coming back. Our waitress was really funny and good at her job.

Hubby and I ate breakfast here on April 20, 2016. I had read a lot about how amazing this resort is and thought I'd book a meal here and that would give us a chance to explore. Our reservation was at 9:30am. We checked in a little early and only waited about 5 minutes for a table. All of the food we tried from the buffet was good and the atmosphere was very nice. However, it's not something we'd do again because it can be time consuming when trying to travel between resorts and it's not a resort we'd likely stay at. I guess we didn't have the same awe struck impressions as others have had. Not saying it wasn't nice. It just didn't do much for us. Although some of the furnishings in the lobby were beautiful.

Ate here with my Hubby on April 21, 2016. Our reservation was at 6:15pm. We checked in a little early and waited about 15 minutes for our table. As always this meal was a blast. It's on our must do list every trip. Food was amazing. Love the atmosphere. Our waiter, Tim or Tom, was outstanding!!! And the characters were, well a bunch of characters. Fun as always.

Ate here on April 23, 2016. Our reservation was at 8:45am. Magic Kingdom didn't open until 9am that morning which was the plan. We've done this before, made breakfast reservations before park opening. I highly recommend doing this as the photopass photographers are out all along mainstreet. So pictures with the castle and Walt and Mickey are amazing with very few if any extra people in them. Ordering process at the restaurant went smoothly. We both got the opened faced bacon and egg sandwich. It was very good. We walked around the other rooms of the restaurant and it really is beautiful. We would definitely eat here again.

Ate here on April 24, 2016. Our reservation was at 3pm. We checked in a little early and were seated within minutes. Our waiter was great. The atmosphere beautiful. Loved all the nautical theming and we had a view of the lake. We ordered the porterhouse for 2. It was AMAZING. We also shared a baked potato and broccoli. The amount of broccoli they give you is overwhelming. It was good but just too much. A small dish of mushrooms to share would have been preferred over the broccoli. None the less, this is a new must do for us!!! Love it!!!!

We ate here for lunch on April 25, 2016. We were seated outside and the view was very beautiful. Our waitress was great. We both ordered the fish and chips and enjoyed it very much. We've eaten here several times in the past and always return ordering the same thing. If you are in the mood for some great fish, this is the place.
