Hands down the best meal we had all week on our vacation! The atmosphere was a bit plain i expected a more "horsey" off to the races type atmosphere mixed with the celebrity pictures - our server was efficient but not spectacular - the food was wonderful! I will definitely go back! However, again, as far as i know this dinner experience has a dress code of nice pants and shirts...not many people followed and if you are going to have a dress code then please make sure people follow it -

Pros:

Great food

Cons:

Just OK servers

This never disappoints, the chef came out to the table to walk thru the buffet for gluten free options. There are many items available, there is also an entire selection of baked goods and toast with a gluten free toaster.

Pros:

Great choices, great food, great characters

My family dined here on 2-3. They really enjoyed the caprese pizza and salad. They also enjoyed being able to get garlic knots in place of a dessert on the dining plan.

Pros:

Food

Cons:

busy

The salmon was good for quick service, it came with choice of fries or broccoli, but they served both. The Gluten free options were limited. The gluten free brownie was good, but again, one of two options. The other option was a GF cookie. They did provide a to go box so I could join the rest of my family at Pinocchio's. 2-3-16

Pros:

Great quick serve salmon

Cons:

limited Gluten Free options

Nothing disappointed, the gluten free beef sandwich was great with great flavor. You get two small sandwiches. I opted to get a soup with the dining plan instead of dessert, the GF potato leek soup was awesome, very flavorful.

Pros:

Great food, fast service, great theming, Gluten free options

Cons:

None

Glad they have brought back the nachos.
Very accommodating for food allergies, however, the wait to speak to a chef was long. The wait was also long for the specially prepared food.
I advise the person with a food allergy order 20 minutes before the rest of the party.

Pros:

Variety for gluten allergy

Cons:

Long wait

While attending a conference in February 2016, I didn't have a choice as to my accommodations. That being said, I was honestly looking forward to giving SOG a try. I found the resort nice at first, but a little outdated compared to what Disney offers. The rooms are nice and large and kept clean. The worst part of the entire visit were the extremely rude guests. The walls are thin and out of my week's stay - I had two separate groups staying in the room next to me. One group was up at 0530 every morning banging around the next group knocked the safe out of the closet - not once but 3 times and laughed - all at 0600. Not SOG fault for the rude guests, but it seems to be the norm. Guests in the lobby letting their kids run all over the place and down hallways where guests are trying to rest. Restaurants were average and the transportation was horrid. Since SOG is NOT a Disney resort - the dropoff/pickup areas for buses are located at the farthest spots - unlike Disney being closest. Also, several of their drivers were rude. I found walking to the Polynesian and using Disney transportation was much better. Don't ever plan to stay at SOG as a personal choice. It doesn't rank anywhere near the service of Disney that I'm used to.

Pros:

Big rooms

Cons:

Rude guests, construction and noise in general - transportation is bad
