We recently dined her for lunch. The food was superb and many choices were offered on the buffet. The desserts were so delicious. There were so many to choose from and every one tasted great. The German band came out and played and interacted with the audience. Children really enjoyed this and were dancing and having a great time.

Pros:

Food and atmosphere

Cons:

Nothing

We eat here every trip and this year we actually went 3 times twice for breakfast and once for lunch. We were late for our reservations that is how we ended up going for lunch and I was a little nervous because I have heard bad reviews about their lunch but my family and I felt the lunch was very good they had a chocolate fountain with marshmallows and strawberries everyone loved it also their was some kind of breaded chicken that was very good also. I would highly recommened this restarant for the fun atmosphere and good food

Review of Pop Century Resort (Value Resort)

We just spent a couple of days in early February 2016 at POP. While we usually stay at Moderate WDW resorts, we opted for POP because of our short stay and an incredibly low price per a FL Resident Special Rate. We knew the Value resorts tend to be busier because we've stayed at others in the past. However, we had no idea it would be as busy as it was during this typically slow time at the World.

POP was hopping, the buses were packed going to-and-from the parks and the food court looked to be jamming (although we didn't eat there.)

The room was pretty small but comfortable, and relatively close to the bus/parking lot. The only negative aspect was how packed the buses were going anywhere (well, except to Epcot) as we saw buses from other resorts hardly near capacity. We were able to take a double-length bus to MK which was interesting. If you do ride one and end up standing within the hinge between the two sections, note there is a small disk that will rotate when the bus makes its turn. The lady standing on it during our ride was a bit unnerved when she found herself moving from side to side. like she was on a Lazy Susan.

Overall, it was about what you'd expect from a Value resort. We were just surprised it occurred during what is usually a slow time at Disney.

Pros:

Costs

Cons:

Over-capacity buses

Review of Mama Melrose's Lunch/Dinner

Did the Fantasmic Lunch package on 2/2/16. Each person gets choice of appetizer, entree, and a non-alcoholic drink. Also get a dessert sampler for each person. Service was good. I felt food quality was better than expected. I was expecting "Olive Garden" esque, but this was much better. I had Caesar salad for appetizer and Chicken Parmigiana for entree. Wife had Fresh Mozzarella and Tomatoes for app, Saltimbocca for entree. Dessert was small (a couple bites) serving of Amarettini Cheesecake, Tiramisu, and Cannoli cake. Was very full afterwards and didn't need to eat the rest of the day...

Fantasmic portion worked well. There is a specific area in the front center of the arena for the lunch/dinner package folks. We arrived 10-15 minutes prior to show, found seats, but probably should have been there a bit earlier to avoid some of the rush. Still better than lining up an hour or more early. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and the Fantasmic package, especially if you have kids that can't handle waiting very long!

Pros:

Food Quality, Fantasmic Package

Review of Animal Kingdom Lodge KIDANI Village (Disney Vacation Club)

The Kidani Village Villas were very well maintained, the staff was friendly and very helpful. The biggest drawback to this resort is the lack of counter service like what is available at other deluxe Disney resorts. In order to get a counter service meal, you have to take a bus or shuttle to Jambo house. Be prepared to walk quite a distance to get to your room. Because of a mobility issue I requested in advance, for a location close to the bus transportation. Suffice it to say, the walk was nowhere near transportation. The setting was wonderful, but in the future I'll stay at Wilderness Lodge or Beach Club.

Pros:

Awesome Surroundings

Cons:

Lack of counter service and very long walk to most rooms

Review of Port Orleans French Quarter (Moderate Resort)

Stayed 1/30/16 through 2/6/16. Have stayed in the past - about 7 years ago. Very nice property. Bus service to/from parks excellent. Only twice did we share buses with Port Orleans Riverside - and French Quarter was picked up and dropped off first. This was about the same as 7 years ago. In general, a quiet hotel. Food at food court was good, and didn't seem as busy as when we stayed at Pop Century (granted that was 9 years ago!). Boat service to Disney Springs is nice. Appears they are currently working on improvements to pool area (kid's play zone). Would definitely stay again!

Pros:

Smaller Size, Bus Service, Quiet

We love the food (fried chicken and pot roast especially) - waitresses are a ton of fun. We were there the night before my birthday and got quite a serenade! We were seated at a table with a small partition between the door and it was COLD outside, therefore cold at our table.

Pros:

Fun environment, great food

Cons:

cold

Review of Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe

Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe --- Magic Kingdom Disney World
We haven't eaten at Pecos Bill Cafe in several months. They used to offer a Gulten Free bun with their burgers and other gluten free sides. This is no longer the case. When so many of the Disney restaurants are becominig so aware and making great strides in their gluten free choices, Pecos Bill took 3 steps backward. The ONLY thing offered as an Entree was a gluten free steak rice bowl , a chicken salad and loaded nachos. Who would risk the chance that their corn chips are not fried in the same oil as other gluten type items. They NO LONGER offer the gluten free roll, no more apple slices. What is wrong with the management of this Cafe? Our friends each had the burger that looked good enough. If they still offered the Gluten Free roll we would have had the same. But, just as well we didn't because they complained about the burgers being cold. When you spend $40.00 for 2 burgers and 2 sodas the burger should at least be at room temperature. Pecos Bill Lassoed us for the last time.

Pros:

None

Cons:

Little to No concern for food allergiess

Review of Harambe Market

We tried the Boerewors sausage and Chicken Tikka Masala with the Milk Tart for dessert. Everything was delicious. But seating is very limited for the crowds and the ordering system was terrible. Only 1 window to order ribs, 2 for the other food. No one seemed to know what to order and every person who walked up to the window had many questions even though there were cast members available to answer questions. Waited on line over 25 minutes to place the order although the food was ready about a minute later. Definitely need more stations to place orders and more seating. If it is not too crowded the food is wonderful!

Pros:

Great food

Cons:

Terrible ordering system

Our group of 3 stayed here 1/24-29. Our check in was quick. Love the play area for the kiddos in the lobby. Our room was in the 50's section. The only con for us was one bed in our room was horrible. The springs were shot. Literally every time you moved it sounded like it was going to fall apart and it was soooooo uncomfortable. Other than that no complaints.

We ate at the food court several times for dinner. My daughter loved the pizza. Once I had the sesame chicken, it was just okay. We love being able to get ice cream cones there. We came back one afternoon for a treat and we had the place to ourselves. Nice treat.

We thought that the buses were great. One morning the line to Magic Kingdom was all the way to the lobby. We were on the fifth bus and we only waited about 20 minutes. Other than that we didn't ever wait more than 10 minutes to or from POP.

Make sure to check out the store. I love shopping here. I always check out the store before heading to the parks. A lot of times you can find the same merchandise right there at the resort. Big time saver.

If you had any free time take a walk over to the art of animation. It is worth it.

All in all we love the POP resort. This was our third time staying here and it is still our favorite. Great for those on a budget or looking to save some money.

Pros:

Theme, food court,

Cons:

Bed
