Dined here on Friday 27th September. Our server was in our opinion a little bit to quick for our liking, we were seated and our server asked if we were ready to order (we didn't even have a chance to order our drinks). I felt that I had to slow the server down by asking for drinks while we looked over the menu. Al in all the food was amazing, but, slightly ruined by a server who wanted to rush us through. Not sure if we would go back for this very reason.

So just a quick general review - I was at the Cast preview last night (open to the public, too) and had just a few things.
At the Cheese booth - the Almond-Crusted Blue Cheese Souffle with Fig Jam was fabulous - especially paired with the suggested Once Upon a Vine's The Big Bad Red Blend!
At Florida Local - I also loved the Florida Grass Fed Beef Slider with Monterey Jack and Sweet & Hot Pickles, which I enjoyed with the remainder of the wine from the Cheese booth in the shade and breeze at the America Gardens Theater across the way.
For dessert at Scotland - have to say I'm not going to be a fan of the Scottish Banoffee Tart with Bananas, Scotch Whiskey Toffee, Walkers Shortbread Crumbles and Sweet Cream. The description sounded awesome - in reality it seemed rather bland, and none of those flavors, except banana, was discernable.

Let me preface this with the following...we used our dining plan for this meal. Yes it is expensive, but if this is the one that you splurge on, then good for you. It is by far and away the best food on the property. It's some of the best pizza that I have had in a long time. Our whole family loved it. We ordered different kinds and shared which made it wonderful for everyone. Lastly the gelato was out of this world good. If you go to Epcot and don't eat here, you are missing out on one of those Disney spectacular meals.

Best Pizza on the Property and Best Wait StaffCons:

This was our 2nd character meal of our trip. It was extremely hot out that day and waiting out in the hot sun without shade didn't help. The food was subpar as were the choices. It wasn't horrible but I wouldn't schedule it again in the future. Maybe it was just a bad day for us, but I didn't feel that way about all the others either.

I was skeptical at first because it was my first trip to Disney and I didn't want to ruin it with a new product. I just didn't want anything to mess up my time at the most magical place on earth. Let me tell you that it performed outstandingly. The MagicBand is the only way to go for me. You can use it any where for anything as long as you have your access code. There really isn't a need for a wallet or purse when you are out and about. This made the trip for me so much easier and stress free. My wife wishes she could use this thing in our everyday lives, for my sake thank God she can't!
Pros:
Easily used, no need for wallet in the parksCons:

This was the best of the character dining experiences for us on our trip. We had a character meal everyday and this was by far and away the one I would recommend. The food selection is the most diverse and tastes the best of all of them.

The dining plan is the way to go. I read where some people complain about only (1) snack. I believe that they used it incorrectly. We would use our snack as just that a snack. We brought quick breakfast items to eat at the hotel, and then used our snack on an item to hold us over until a later lunch. We usually set up our table services for lunch. This way it would hold us over until we were ready for dinner at a quick service restaurant. Yes it takes time out of the park but having a little one, it was great to get out of the heat and cool off while refueling with all that food. The other most important deciding factor for me was this: a table service character buffet for (3) was about $75-$100 before gratuity. I don't care about how good the food was, it wasn't worth that. Also quick service meals for (3) ranged from $35-50 per meal.
When you add that up, it's expensive to pay on your own dime to eat there. So if the dining plan is offered, you will save money going that direction for sure.
Negatives: the gratuities were not added in. This became relevant when you look at your dining bills. The food prices are inflated dramatically. So when you see a $100 bill, your first thought is...a $20 tip??? For refilling my drink??? Because that is all they do at the character buffets. So you should consider what the real value is of the meal before tipping and not based on what Walt Disney World suggests.

My son and wife love animals so this resort met and exceeded our expectations. We had a Savanna side room and it was amazing. Giraffes were litterally at your balcony.
The room was clean, well maintained, and well worth the price.
The restaurants were very good. The Mara (quick service) was outstanding. Everything was always well stocked and they had a great helpful staff.
I would recommend staying here, it was great.

Dined here on 25th September, our server was Orisis ( think I spelt her name right), we were introduced to a new menu. I had the the trio of beef and my partner had the fillet mignon, both meals were cooked to perfection. I canont recommend this restaurant enough. We will always look forward to dining here.

My sister and I opted for a longer stay at a value vs. a shorter stay at a moderate. We never waited long for a bus, the computer pool was quiet and clean and we received fresh towels on our doorknob on the days we put out the DND sign. There was no usable refrigerator, but we were prepared for that. They were sanding down the Mickey phone right near our room which was quite loud during the day and we had a voicemail one night advising us of a planned power outage waking you up when the electrical appliances went dead and when they came back on. Very minor inconveniences for sure.
