Tried Spice Road Table last week and found it to be a refreshing change of pace. Great table overlooking World Showcase lagoon; can imagine it will be really pretty at night. We had an excellent server, who was attentive without being overbearing. Food was all well-prepared and portions were sized just right for sharing. Really enjoyed the lamb slider and the merguez sausage. The skewers were great, too. Tried the various baklavas and the saffron lemon custard for desserts -- loved them all. Found the custard to be quite similar to a creme brulee, in fact. Would definitely dine here again.

Great waterside location; outstanding service; unique menu itemsCons:

The only reason I would recommend this restaurant is because we found it to be the only counter service at the Contemporary (which based on the size of the hotel, this place is much smaller than food courts at budget and moderates). We found the menu to be very limited (especially for the two picky eaters we had in our group). The food was nothing special and you had only a small offering from which to choose. They had a very small bakery section (one small case), but the cupcakes were delicious.
I agree with earlier posts.....the ordering system is unusual. You select from a kiosk, but then have to check out at the register and take your receipt back to the ordering station and wait for your food.

We ate there twice for breakfast during our December trip. It is one of the few places in AK that you can find breakfast items. They offer oatmeal, french toast platter and a breakfast platter. (there are probably other offerings, but those are what we picked on both trips). At 9:30 a. m. the restaurant was almost deserted. The food was good and we were in and out in a jiffy.
Pros:

During our trip in December, my daughter and I ate there first. The guys in our group were not interested. We had a short wait in line. Loved the kiosks and the fact we were seated and served so quickly. We both had the French onion soup and turkey sandwich. For dessert we shared a cup cake and eclair. The soup was actually one of the best we have had. The turkey sandwich was delicious....it had a generous amount of freshly carved turkey. Both desserts were delicious. There are three dining rooms and we picked the West Wing. We loved the atmosphere. We raved so much about our lunch (the best counter service in Disney), that the guys joined us the next day. We picked the main dining room with the Christmas tree. The guys ordered the beef and again, the French onion soup. They had the same impression as we did. It is now one of "musts". My husband and I are going back alone in a few months and he has already said to put Be our Guest on our list!

In the past we have always been very pleased with Boulangerie Patisserie, but on our recent visit we found the food to be less than expected. I ordered the Ham and Cheese Croissant and found it to be very tough. I also had the caramel cream and chocolate mousse and it was only fair and nothing to write home about.

We were here on 1-31 and we were celebrating my birthday and our GDs. Our Gd got to open the restaurant and she loved the special attention and extra interaction with Mary Poppins. Who escorted us to our table. We have done dinner here but this was our first time for breakfast and the food was just as yummy. I loved the strawberry soup. The serves was great. They gave us long stem red roses for our birthday and outr GD got an extra rose and special signed placemat and tinkerbell light clip for opening the restaurant. The CM also gave us a set fo 4 signed placemats for her birthday. Since Mary Poppins has always been my favorite and we don't see her often this was special. We will will be back not only for the yummy food but for the great service.

We checked in for our 5:05 reservation about 4:40 and they seated us within 5 minutes. We were seated in the ballroom and our GD was so excited to watch the snow in the windows. The Beast came in twice and that was great to watch. DH and I ordered the steak which was very good. GD order the seafood puff and since she is somewhat of a picky eater. she loved the shrimp and scallops. Since we were celebrating 2 birthdays, when it was time for dessert we picked out our cupcakes -2 chocolate and 1 strawberry, then the CM gave us 2 grey stuff bars. We were not disappointed. After dinner, we wandered around and explored the other rooms. We got our pictures taken with the Beast. We were the only ones in there at the time so we had a lot of time with the Beast. The photographer took pictures with photo pass and our camera, all the pictures came out great. The only disappointment for our GD was the Beast is not able to sign autographs maybe they could do a stamp for him. Our Gd wanted to eat here after doing BBB and she was treated like the little princess she is. I hope to be back when we can get a reservation or else we will try if for lunch.

We stayed 1-30 to 2-2 in studio 1221. When we pulled up to the gate about 1:00, the CM called up to the front desk to tell them we were there. CM met us at the car. Bell services got out bags, I went in to finish check-in while DH parked the car and DGD watched cartoons. I did online check-in so it did not take long. Once our MB were activated, we went to our room that was ready. Our GD was excited about the hide away bed. She said this bed was made just for me. Because we were there celebrating GD and my birthdays, we were wearing our birthday buttons and all the CMs were always wishing us happy birthday. One CM gave our GD roses one morning from out of the arrangement in the lobby. She got enough stickers to start passing out stickers to others. Service is always great at a DVC resort so I was expecting this to be over the top and it was. Everything was wonderful from the theming to the CM. The only I wish is that there was a drink station in the Villas instead of having to walk all the way over to the one in the main building. We also hoped to see the parade of ladies in the morning but it was rainy/foggy so they did not have it. We will be back especially if we are spending all our time at MK.

What are the powers that be in Disney thinking! We were able to experience the Fastpass+ on our visit in October 2013. It was horrible then and now they are making it even worse. I have been monitoring the wait times on My Disney Experience app, what I have noticed is the standby wait times have increased approximately 15 to 30 minutes. We have had the pleasure of visiting the World in February a few times in the past. The wait times then were non-existence. I cannot imagine what the wait times are going to be during the busy season. My spouse and I have been true Disneyworld fans from New Jersey, visiting the World once a year since 1991. As I mentioned earlier we had a terrifying experience using the Magic Bands last year. When I mentioned the additional changes to the Fastpass+ system i.e. choosing one Fastpass from Category A and two from Category B (noting that Category B are the rides that you really do not need a Fastpass to ride), my spouse turned to me and said “Maybe we should think about vacationing somewhere else this year.†I felt as if I had the wind knocked out of me. I never thought in a million years I would hear those words come out of his mouth. Then to make things even worse, while watching television we witnessed a Disneyworld commercial praising the Fastpass+ and Magic Band systems. Now every time that commercial comes on my spouse can’t change the channel fast enough. I pray changes are made to the system or the old Fast Pass system is restored, because I don’t think I can change my spouse’s mind and I will truly miss my Disney family. Somehow I don’t think Vegas will be the same.

1 adult no DDP. Ate here Sat 2-8 @ 8pm. Haven't eaten here recently so I see they changed the line process (for the better I thought). I walked in and was handed a menu to wait in line with. There was 1 party ahead of me, then I was asked if I was ready to order & escorted to a register. I think that sped up things and made it much more organized than my past visits so I hope this is their new ordering system.
I order the kids meal chicken fish combo. You get 2 nuggets and a larger fish stick (personally I would have rather had a 2nd fish stick than the few nuggets) and got the fries, grapes (love those for a later snack since they are pre packaged) & apple juice. Unfortunately they ran out of ketchup at all the stations and I don't know if it was cause it was close to closing but they weren't refilling. This is the only complaint I have ever had here, but oh well. I got to eat upstairs which was very nice and plenty of seating plus an empty bathroom. I love CHH and will be back!!
