In 2016 we could not attain a dinner reservation so I settled for lunch for our family of 8. We just wanted to see inside BOG and we weren't disappointed. The decor is amazing and our lunches were delicious and portions were large.

Pros:

We all enjoyed the atmosphere The food was very good. I'm glad we made the lunch reservation so we could see inside.

Cons:

As it was busy, it was a little noisy.

Review of Rapunzel's Royal Table - Disney Magic

This is now known as Rapunzel's Royal Table on the Disney Magic. The restaurant is beautiful with colors of purple and gold. The table decor includes Rapunzel's star and there are floating lanterns hanging from the ceiling.

The restaurant is a dinner show style which recreates some of the elements from the Snuggly Duckling. When you come into the restaurant, you are greeted by the Thugs, who are funny and interact with the guests. During dinner service there are stories and singing and there is a kids parade with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider.

We enjoyed the menu, which has a German feel to it. The bread service for the regular is an excellent pretzel bread with a mustard dipping sauce. There is a little glowing Pascal that can be added to drinks. I think they were $3. We had the regular menu, but it is my understanding there is a second Rapunzel menu for longer Magic cruises.

Like Tiana's on the Wonder, this is not just a meal, it is an experience. It's a 10 out of 10 for me. But, the Thugs (who are not really scary) may be frightening for small children. And, at times the music was loud which some people may not care for. That's why I gave it a 9 out of 10 overall.

Pros:

Menu, ambiance, fun character interaction

Cons:

Can be loud

We stayed at AOA in March 2018 during Spring Break. We had a Cars Suite and brought our 2 dogs, a elderly boston terrier and an English Bulldog. Check in was easy and the cast member was very informative. We took the dogs crates and they both settled in nicely. They were not stressed and enjoyed walking the grounds. We took breaks during the day to let them out.

Pros:

Dogs were not stressed from being in a kennel. Housekeeping came when we asked and we took the dogs for a walk while she was cleaning.

Cons:

Only con would be if you didn't want to return to your room to let them out.

In 2016 our family of 8 had an ADR here and were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and each of us ordered what we wanted. The chef was amazing and amusing while preparing our food right in front of our eyes. My youngest grandson ate his entire meal with chop sticks. I was impressed as it was his 1st attempt with them. In a word "YUM"

Pros:

Food was excellent well prepared and presented.

Girls trip - 3 of us older ladies having a ball and this breakfast was amazing! Food was fresh and well prepared, not to mention the fruit that was very tasty. We had the dining plan so we were offered Mimosas, which were quite good, as well. Characters interacted with us a lot, even though we didn't have any kiddos with us. One of my friends had never eaten there and she was impressed by the quality of the food. It has always been a favorite and this time was no exception!

Pros:

We were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time and all cast members were very efficient and friendly.

Cons:

My capacity ran out before I ate all that I put on my plate!

Review of All Star Sports Resort (Value Resort)

I stayed here on a solo trip in March. It was my first time at the All-stars and I was a little nervous as my trip was sandwiched in between two Cheer competition weekends and I had heard horror stories. I requested a quiet third floor spot with a non-connecting room and was happy to be in the tennis section. I was able to walk to the bus stops without going through the main building. While there were a few groups of cheer teams around, there weren't enough to bother me, although I did leave on a Friday and I did notice they were starting to increase in numbers. I was happy with my room, it was very clean and well kept.

Pros:

Fairly short walk to bus stop from the Tennis section, good value for the price paid.

Cons:

Buses seemed to come more frequently for the Movies and Music resorts. Not sure why Sports buses were so fewer when the lines were longer for them at the end of the night.

Review of Saratoga Springs Resort (Disney Vacation Club)

We just returned from a stay in the Springs section. Two adults and two children in a one bedroom unit. The room set up at Saratoga is similar to Boardwalk in that the bedroom was very large and spacious, but the common area not as much.

Pros:

This was a great location because it was close to the main pool, the restaurants, store, etc. and our building was close to a bus stop. Unit was clean, all staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

Cons:

We ate in our room most of the time and the way the kitchen is arranged in the one bedroom unit is awkward, and there were a minimum of cooking utensils. Had to call for a couple of things.

Review of All Star Sports Resort (Value Resort)

We have stayed at all 3 All Star Resorts and Sports is our 2nd favorite. All 3 resorts are basically the same except for the theme. Only Music has a family suite option at this time. If you have sports enthusiasts in your travel party, this resort is fun, fun, fun! The pools are great! The foodcourt is great! The rooms are standard fare for a value resort but more than met the needs of our groups time and time again. If your children are small then this resort is great -- once they reach their teens, you might prefer the Music/family suites simply for the extra bathroom and separate sleeping areas. For our multiple stays at this resort, our travel party ranged in age from 6 months to 63 years old. We made good use of the laundry facilities during our stays here and experienced no issues.

Pros:

When Disney utilizes one bus for all 3 All Star Resorts then Sports is the resort of choice. It's the first stop when you're heading to the park so the bus is usually empty and you can get a seat. When returning from the parks, it's also the first stop and you'll be the first to get off unlike those staying at Music and Movies who have to continue on with additional stops.

Cons:

Nothing fancy; no full service restaurant for those who prefer that option; family oriented so noise level can be higher. During certain times of the year, large groups consisting of "teams" of cheerleaders, dancers, baseball players, football players, etc., descend on this resort for events sponsored by Disney. If you're stay is during one of these times, you may want to choose a different resort to avoid the interaction with the masses.
