If it wasn't for the animals, no one would probably want to stay here. If you don't rent a car, the bus rides are over packed and dangerous for the standing little children. The time to get to the parks are outrageously long and extremely unpleasant. The front desk cast member was very incompetent and could not print my Southwest boarding pass. She also outright lied about issues with the boarding pass. and did not know that I had talked to her supervisor, who had ad no problems with printing the passes out while I waited. There were no USB outlets in the room and the same front desk cast member (Rashida) said that she did not know what a USB outlet was. There needs to be some extra training for the people who cannot do their job. The room was 4963 and it was at the end of the horseshoe of Arushna savannah. This made the trek to Mara for refills a monumental task. Will not stay here ever again
Pros:
Excellent housekeeping and views of the animals Great restaurantsCons:
Incompetent staff who lie to cover up their deficiencies. Too far from parks. Lousy bus transportation. No USB ports. General uncaring attitude that you can senseReview of Shula's Steakhouse Dinner

Had dinner at Shula's on a Wednesday night. Knowing we would arrive late, we were pleased to be able to book a late ADR for 9:30 PM. Food, wine, and service were all very good. As good as Yachtsman? Perhaps not, but it's close. Unfortunately, the restaurant is very loud, which took a bit from the experience. And, like any high end steakhouse, the prices are outrageous. However, prices aside, a very nice place. Worth it for a special occasion dinner.

They now charge the same for lunch & dinner I was told. Have always loved coming here for lunch & the price was reasonable for what you got. But now it's $44 for lunch with no characters & they didn't even play the band/entertainment which we were there from 12:10-1pm-ish so there should have been something happening. If they want to charge more, they need to do more. The group seating doesn't bother me as I have no issue with chatting or sitting with people. I like everything about it except the cost so maybe for people it's a one time try?

We dined here Monday, January 28th for lunch. We were some of the very first seated for lunch service. It was just okay. We had a good server, but I felt like were being very rushed. He was not going to ask if we wanted more of anything, he was too concerned to get us the next thing, and then the bill. I have had many Disney meals, and never felt this rushed. The food was good, but not great. You know what you are going to get going into the meal, but the quality was not so great that it made the simple food any better. The best part of the meal was the experience of dining in a restaurant rotating through an attraction...plus characters! They did all come by at least twice and gave us lots of attention. If you are on the dining plan, then this is a great use of a 1 credit meal. We were not this trip, and therefore I do not think this was worth the $170 for two adults and a child. (including tip) I am glad I can say we did it, but most likely would not be back again.

Pros:

Absolutely the worst eggs benedict I have ever had. I ate half of one half of an english muffin. Semi limited breakfast bar. I told hostess when leaving about the terrible eggs benedict but she did not seem overly interested. Go the the Wave, phenomenal food.Review of Fort Wilderness Campground

We just got home after 3 nights at the campground with my wife and small dog. Rented a golf cart, the best way to enjoy the park, and had a wonderful time. Never went to a park but did enjoy the boat rides and walking around the Resorts on the monorail. Looking forward to our next visit!
Pros:
Quiet, clean and relaxing!Cons:

My family of 6 adults stayed in a 2BR villa in early January. I have never been a fan of Wilderness Lodge--mostly because it's just not my preferred style resort. We absolutely loved every aspect of this stay. The villa was gorgeous. Every cast member at the resort was fantastic. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
Pros:
Villas are well appointed and very clean, resort is lovely, quick service restaurant was good.Cons:

We loved it! We were able to ride our favorite rides 2 and 3 times. We will definitely do it again if it is offered during our vacation. Best money we ever spent at Disney.
