Magic bands and small children
Pros:
Hopefully Disney will come up with a solution for this because it is a waste of everyone's time.Cons:
I come to Disney world once a month with a different subset of Grandchildren. All the smaller children have a problem every time with the fingerprint scanner. I cannot put my fingerprint on their band, since their parents bring them also. I wish there was a better way to do this with the small children.Reviewed by KarenM111254 Review Date: 04/24/2019

Beautiful, clean resort. Stayed at many Disney resorts. Saratoga is our favorite.
Pros:
Walkable to Disney Springs.Cons:
Food court needs a new menu.Reviewed by Maryann Review Date: 04/24/2019

I’ve been traveling to Disney regularly (1-4 times a year) for the past 11 years. We’ve always stayed at a deluxe or DVC property, buying into DVC 6 years ago. I’m an AP holder and wanted to get a quick trip in at the last minute a few years back. I decided to use my passholder discount and book POFQ for a weekend trip. I absolutely loved it and found it to be every bit as wonderful as the deluxe resorts. The compact size of the resort, the recreation and dining options and its location ( boat ride to DS ) makes it a great place to stay, even if your not visiting the theme parks.
Pros:
It’s size; everything in walking distance, the food; many choices (including the proximity to POR), the atmosphere ( Mardi Gras).Cons:
My only complaint ( not even an issue really) is the outside entrance to your room. I do prefer a balcony (for relaxing on) but it’s not a dealbreaker considering all the other pluses of the resort.Reviewed by Silvercat33 Review Date: 04/24/2019

We loved this ride, the room of doors is exactly as it had appeared in my imagination, and to actually ride through it was incredible! The bit at the end where Roz talks to each family is really funny, and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole ride. It was easy to do this 3 times in a row with barely any wait time!
Pros:
Fun, not scary, funny, and the room of doors is worth doing the ride for on its own!Cons:
Worrying that it didn't seem very popular and this made it easy to ride multiple times - hope it doesn't close down.Review of Boudin Bakery Tour

We loved this, it is a relatively quick attraction to visit, but it was informative, fun, interesting, plus we got a free sample of sourdough bread to try! Loved that you could see and learn how the bread is made right there, and it was relatively quiet on the day we visited.
Pros:
Free, quick and easy to navigate, air conditioned experience.Cons:
Teens may be bored by it though, not much to pique their interest.Review of All Star Music Resort (Value Resort)

We love the "in your face" theming of these value resorts, and the price is superb for what you get. They are exciting, vibrant, large, and really feel like a Disney resort. Rooms are adequately sized, and clean and well decorated. The pools are very well themed, and the food court is splendid!
Pros:
Price, theming, food court choices, friendly Cast Members.Cons:
Noisy and very popular with families so children everywhere! (This could be a pro or a con, depending on your point of view though!) Also quite large, takes a while to get around.Review of Be Our Guest -Counter Service Lunch

Absolutely wonderful ambience, the dining rooms make you feel as though you are actually in the movie. Anyone who loves the film really needs to try this for lunch, it is a lot easier to get a reservation for this or breakfast than it is for dinner!
Pros:
Utterly stunning dining rooms, the snow falling outside the window in the ballroom is so beautiful. The food is very good quality and delicious, felt like an excellent use of a QSDP credit.Cons:
Can be noisy as it is very popular with families, in particular the West Wing room. Expensive if not on the dining plan for a fairly simple, if exquisite quality, lunch.Reviewed by Silvercat33 Review Date: 04/24/2019

We very nearly didn't get to actually visit the island, due to arriving at the beginning of October and the tail end of a huge hurricaine. The weather was gorgeous as we sailed in and docked, but by the time we had finished breakfast, you couldn't see the island for the rain and mist! The gangplank was closed and the island evacuated, so we pottered about the ship until just after lunchtime, when the storm had passed and the island reopened - hurray!
We were the first people off the ship, and we splashed through the puddles to the waiting trams. We were originally going to head round to the adults-only beach, as we are a married couple with no children, but given that we only had 2 hours left before the ship was due to leave, we got off the tram at the very first stop, which was the Family beach. We LOVED this beach! There were lots of sun loungers, and the sea was glorious - warm, not too deep too quickly, and as we paddled around in waist-deep water, we watched blue and yellow fishes swimming around our legs. It was paradise!
After just over an hour, we wrapped up in towels and explored the small store, buying a t-shirt and pin for DH, and some fridge magnets. Unfortunately, we didn't get to check out the dining options, but overall we absolutely loved this island and would love to return there someday.
Pros:
Peace and quiet, luxurious beach, lots of sun loungers, warm, blissful water with a gentle slope from the beach meaning it felt safe. Brilliant store, lots of choices for such a small place!Cons:
Absolutely none, apart from being held hostage by the weather!Reviewed by cozie Review Date: 04/24/2019

Due to bad reviews we had never tried the transportation system, but Jan 3-4, 2019 when the parks were extremely busy, we decided to save the cost of car rental. We stayed at the Wilderness lodge, buses mainly were on schedule and it worked out quite well. Buses could get crowded, and we had to stand at times which to me is fine as opposed to the hassles of a rental car.
Pros:
Buses get you relatively close to the entrances, don't have to deal with crowded parking lots. Although driving might be a bit faster, in our experience it isn't enough time savings to make up for the cost of a car and the extra walking you might have to do in a big parking lot.Cons:
We went to the campfire program in Fort Wilderness and the return bus destination label was something different than we were expecting so we sat and waited while two buses came and went. Be sure to know what to look for.Review of Be Our Guest -Counter Service Lunch
