Review of Living with the Land

The whole family enjoys Living with the Land. It's a great down time, relaxing ride, with lots of interesting information. The inside look at Disney's in park food production is amazing to see. The scenery in the informational areas is quite realistic looking. It almost seems as you could walk in the front door of the farm house. We'd like to do a Behind the Seeds tour and get a more in depth look.
Pros:
Interesting information, relaxing, part of the ride is air conditioned, Kids can look for hidden MickeysCons:
Slow moving for those that want something thrilling, Part of the ride takes place in the green house area so if you're looking for an escape from the heat only part of this ride will accommodate, need sunglasses for the greenhouse part if you are sensitive to sun/glare.Review of UP! You should ride Na'vi River Journey once. It is a beautiful, relaxing ride through Pandora. But, it doesn't really have any story, which, by Disney standards, makes it pretty disappointing.

Relaxing, beautifulCons:

You never know what you might encounter on Kilimanjaro Safaris: a baby elephant, a newborn giraffe, a white rhino in the roadway. This attraction is always an exciting experience. Try to ride first thing in the morning when the animals are most active.

I recently saw Finding Nemo: The Musical for the first time. I don't know why I had always skipped it before. (Probably due to the length.) It was amazing! It was well worth the time spent. The performers were superb.

We had a reservation and were sent to the line right away. The line was extremely long, and we did not eat anywhere near our reservation time...it was much later. The food choices are ok. Nothing to rave about....except the pot roast over the mashed potatoes. So yummy! Finding seating is also difficult during busy times. It is magical the way your food finds its way to your table. The rooms and decor are beautiful. It's worth eating here at least once just to see the inside.
Pros:
Great pot roast Different choices (not all hamburgers and pizza like other quick services) Beautiful ambianceCons:

I love Expedition Everest. My husband and I took our 2 daughters on the it as the first roller coaster ride of our vacation. I don't think my youngest (7) was prepared for the intensity. However, my older daughter (9) was not phased by it at all. It took us a little while to get her to go on other rides that had tracks. Barnstormer did the trick and hence became her favorite ride. My husband and I did a trip alone and I scheduled a Fast Pass for it. Upon returning home he revealed to me that he didn't like it. Something about going backward. LOL Oh well... I'm still making him go on it this year when we go.
Pros:
Exciting, very well themed, awesome queue, beautiful picture spot from bridgeCons:

We recently stayed here on our first DVC stay. We loved everything about it. The animals are out a lot and can be seen, not only from savannah rooms (which we had, and I highly recommend), but from viewing areas all over the lodge. The gift shop has a drink station, so we were easily able to fill our mugs (unfortunately, it closes at 11, and we were not back by then and really wanted a drink, but no biggie!) The shuttle to AKL was efficient and quick. We never waited long. It took us to the quick service at AKL, and we enjoyed the food there, since Kidani does not have one. The pool and slides were fun. The buses were excellent both to and from the parks and DS. The hallways are long, but if you were walking to a room at All-Stars or a moderate, you'd walk the same distance. Overall, we loved it and highly recommend the night time viewing of the animals with the night vision googles. Too cool!
