We continue to enjoy Boma because you can choose a different meal no matter how many times you visit. I tend to stick to salads, soups and seafood. Other members of our group of three seniors also tried meats, fufu, breads and rice. It seems that the selection of dishes is slowly being reduced, as the price rises, but Boma is still a good value for theme park dining. Our latest visit was marred by overly tired children (we were there after 8:00 pm) wandering and whining, and by rude people barging into buffet lines when there were obvious lines (as at the carving station).
Pros:
Good selections; good serviceCons:
Can be crowded and noisyReview of Tokyo Dining

The menu needs to be refreshed as it is getting boring for repeat diners. The food needs to be more authentic, as well. That said, Tokyo Dining is one of our favorites in the World Showcase. Food is well-prepared, and service is superb. It's unfortunate that the restaurant shares an open hallway with the loud teppan tables at Teppan Edo, because it makes Tokyo dining equally loud, when it could easily be a serene experience with a few walls and doors. The bento box is a good choice if you can't make up your mind; the tempura is excellent and recalls the long-lost and much-missed Tempura Kiku. Don't bother with desserts - they are not part of a Japanese meal and the selections show that. I wish that the sushi were not so outrageously priced, and that a sushi combination dinner were offered. Soups, both as appetizers and entrees, are good. The alcoholic beverage choices are unique and welcome.
Pros:
Great atmosphere; food is well-preparedCons:

Always a good bet, although lunch time is extremely crowded. the food is not extraordinary, but it is well-prepared, decently sized and not too outrageously priced. A good place for breakfast, lunch or a snack. Sometimes hard to find a table, and sometimes cleaning falls a bit behind, but overall, it is our top choice for a fast meal in Future World. It's also possible to avoid the usual fast food choices found in the rest of the parks.
Pros:
Good selection; healthy choices; convenient locationCons:

How can you ruin a frozen potsticker? No idea how, but they did it. The dumpling was both cold and rubbery. We just wanted a quick snack and a beverage. You can't ruin Diet Coke, thankfully.

Bad foodReview of Mama Melrose's Lunch/Dinner

Mama Melrose's was a default choice. We were badly treated at Hollywood Brown Derby on our last trip, and Sci Fi and 50's Prime Time are not worth the money. However, we were pleasantly surprised with the food at Mama Melrose's and would return again. I had the cioppino, which was not in the style I am used to (no pasta), and my dining companions enjoyed their choices. We all appreciated that our pasta was al dente, and not mushy ala Olive Garden. Our server was attentive and cheerful, and the setting is fun, if noisy and busy. Desserts were good.
Pros:
Good service; decent foodCons:

We had a pre-dinner drink at Nomad Lounge, and enjoyed the drinks, comfortable setting and good service. Loved the couches and chairs, quite a relief from slogging through Animal Kingdom all day.

Tiffins was a surprise hit with our group of three seniors. The setting is fun and service is excellent. We ate dinner there on May 2, 2019. The charred octopus appetizer was a nice bite to share, and tasty. My fellow diners had the halibut and the shrimp and grits and both reported that their meals were delicious. I enjoyed the whole fried fish, but would have appreciated more sauce, because the fish itself was rather dry, although tasty. The halo halo dessert was educational, but I don't think that I'll have it again. Sweet potato ice cream isn't for me.

Nice setting; good service; good foodCons:

Flame Tree is one of the better choices at Animal Kingdom, but is only for meat lovers. There are no vegetarian choices. The combination meals are too large for lunch, but the pulled pork sandwich is a good size. Seating is very spread out and confusing, and it's almost impossible to find someone who has gone ahead to save a table, unless you text/call the person. Prices, as with all of the theme park fast food restaurants, are excessive for what you get.
Pros:
Convenient; relatively fast; plenty of seatingCons:

We dined at Citricos on May 1, 2019. The atmosphere and service at the restaurant are excellent. The food, however, was a bit of a disappointment. Among three senior adults we had: salade verte, heirloom salad, Florida red snapper, filet mignon, chicken Mediterranean, and a side of mushroom. All three diners were somewhat disappointed with the entrees. I had the red snapper. The fish itself was well-prepared, moist and tender, but it was served over a murky sauce with fingerling potatoes mashed into the sauce. It looked muddy. The topping of raw fennel was quickly lost in the murk and was tasteless. The other diners reported that the chicken was bland and the filet was a bit tough. The mushroom side was a hit. Prices are way out of line with quality of the food and preparation, especially the filet.
The salade verte was reported to be good. The heirloom salad was overly fussy and the dressing was too tart. Desserts were good. We tried the pistachio cheesecake and the tropical fruit creme brulee.
I choose not to recommend this restaurant, because, overall, it is too expensive for the quality of the food, and the chef is overly ambitious and his dishes are too complicated. We felt let down after our meal.
