Review of My Disney Experience

Wow!! Disney has lost the magic!! My first visit to Disney was in 1975 as a child. Enjoyed the parks countless times. Raised my own family on Disney vacations, even getting an open ended time share for up to 3 vacations per year. I realize Covid messed things up and it is harder to keep employers, but beyond that, some of the latest changes just don’t make any sense. We would always get our kids up early to get to the park on time. We would park up close for being early. Now, they park you in the back lot first unless you pay the extra $25, making parking $45. If you are late to the park, they then let you park up front. All parks do it. Also, at every show they block off the centers front sections just in case people who paid for guided tour come. Always allowing those few in, then opening it to all the late comers trying to seat while the show is going on. Fantasmic show this time we were 90 minutes early and made to sit on the far sides. The center 2000 seats were roped off. 5 minutes before the show they let all the late people in. Over 500 seats were left open during the show. Epcot, we got the lighting pass for Ratatouille ride to find out it was breaking down all day. We had to come back twice, stood in line just have it break again. Never made it on. Frozen ride, broke. Fast track broke while we were in line. 95 minutes later we got on and it stopped. [Redacted] Food service has taken a nose dive. There are very few happy smiling staff. Now paying $145 a day and many things roped off. Still no access to most characters. At 58 years of ages, I don’t like being yelled at when I have a hard time understanding staff. They took 90% of the live street performers and bands away. You get fake prerecorded music. I’m tired of complaining. Hopefully the old CEO can get this turned around.

Pros:

They did make bag check faster.

Cons:

Very few happy staff and memory making opportunities these days.

Review of Walt Disney World First Aid Centers

Ok context, I have chronic pain in my legs that exponentially gets worse as I walk and I had pushed myself to far the previous few days without a proper rest.
I was at the not so scary Halloween event and finally given up on trying to spite my way through the event and stumbled my way to first aid, I felt like I was gonna both pass out and be sick from the pain so I had decided I needed ice, I had to wait a minute for the guy at the desk to appear but when he did he was immediately worried and I only asked for ice, he instead offered me ice, pain medicine, a nap in the back, water, and a WHEELCHAIR all while still acting like I was human and making sure I was ok and not gonna faint, when I ended up in tears from the pain and the offer of a wheelchair which has never happened before he and the other worker there comforted me and told me it was ok and that we all need help, I have never had an experience like this before and have never had a pain free park experience like that before

Pros:

Super nice and friendly, staff go above and beyond and don’t just treat you like another problem to solve.

Cons:

Was a bit out of the way of the area where most guests would be (aka the ride areas)

Great for families and the WDW version is better than the original. Yes, the song will be stuck in your head all day, but you're at Disney so it's not a bad thing!

Pros:

Cute, family friendly

Cons:

it can be a bit long - especially with the song repeating.

This one is a fun walk through for families. However, if you're not nostalgic about the movie you won't enjoy it quite as much, but I think there are a lot of cool things to see anyway. I'm glad that they've kept this one original instead of updating to Tarzan like Disneyland did.

Pros:

no lines, interesting experience, family friendly

Cons:

IP is a bit dated so not everyone will get it.

The WDW version of this ride is much rougher than the Disneyland version I think - or maybe I'm just getting old! But the last few times i've ridden this I felt it whipped me around much more than it used to and it wasn't as amazing as I used to think. It's still cool but not a smooth ride like the other dark coasters that exist today.

Pros:

Dark ride, thrilling, nostalgic

Cons:

a bit rough, needs updating

Personally I don't understand the long wait times for this ride. It's fun but it's very similar to Thunder Mountain which doesn't have the long wait times. If you have kids this would likely be the preferred ride but it may not be worth purchasing an individual lightning lane or waiting in the long line for it.

Pros:

Smooth, entertaining, good for kids

Cons:

long wait time, not eligible for Genie+

Review of Topolino's Terrace -- Flavors of the Riviera Character Breakfast

Best characters ever BUT sadly the worst, cold unimpressive food I've ever had for breakfast. Including our server who we saw start, drinks, and bill. Terrible. would not go back nor recommend. Too bad its a beauitful room, view, and terrace.

Pros:

Room, and characters

Cons:

FOOD was terrible. Had the bread pudding and soggy mushy nasty and servers should steer people clear of it. all food was luke warm at best and no excuse for servers standing around.
