Ride with Mears, wait for years

We took Mears at the end of November from the airport to Animal Kingdom Lodge. It took 2 hours. We sat at the airport for 1/2 hour not moving waiting for the bus to fill up, then when I finally thought we were going to leave, we pulled away to stop at another terminal to wait for more people to board and then to 2 hotels before ours. We chose to do something different on the way back.

My wife Jessica Elston and myself have visited Disneyworld, a total of two times. The first was our honeymoon Jan 22, and the second was for my wife’s 30th birthday Sep 23.
On both occasions we were fortunate enough to have Randy Porter as our driver to our accommodation.
We are from the United Kingdom, so when we do save enough to cross the Atlantic, we want the trip to be as magical as possible.
Randy Porter has made both occasions feel amazing. His subject knowledge, along with his hilariously friendly personality, made our holidays really special.
This praise is a longtime coming, for a man that deserves to be highlighted as a commodity to your business.

We used Mears Connect previously in 2022 for round trip. We had an early flight, so we had no wait for the bus to the resort. For our return trip, the bus showed up 15 minutes late and still had to stop at 2 other resorts. Luckily we have TSA precheck or we may have been in trouble. Fast forward to our most recent trip in 2023, once again we had no wait for the bus to our resort. However, our bus to take us back to the airport never showed up. Us and another party were supposed to be picked up at 5:10 and the tracking link wasn’t working. At 5:30 we called and were assured the bus was coming. At 5:45 a Mears Connect Van driver showed up (not there for us-she was there for another group) and we explained our situation. Luckily she had a few extra seats and was able to call her supervisor and get us on the van. We pulled out of the resort at 5:55, 45 mins after our bus was supposed to be there, and we don’t know if that bus ever showed. I most likely won’t be using Mears again after having a headache with both return trips.

We were required to be at the departure location from our hotel 15 minutes before the shuttle departure time. Our shuttle was over 20 minutes late picking us up at that point we just called a Lyft and of course that’s when the shuttle showed up. Don’t recommend if you want to make your flight on time.

I had the best service with mears service I arrived at airport on Oct 8 with my family mears was already there waiting very patience driver excellent ride excellent service then for departing from my hotel mears was excellent on updating me on my status of my driver excellent and giving us information inside the airport area. Excellent
