REVIEW: The Disney World Snack Spot You’ve Walked By And Never Noticed

Things are heating up in Disney World, and the hot days of summer will soon be upon us. That means heat and humidity, and the desire to just find some refreshing cold snacks and drinks to help you get through the day.

Well, did you know there’s a sort of hidden snack spot with that on the menu in Disney’s Hollywood Studios? It’s called Peevy’s Polar Pipeline, and it has just the things you need to stay cool on a warm day.

You’ll find Peevy’s Polar Pipeline in the Echo Lake area of Hollywood Studios. You’ve probably walked right by it a million times, but you’ve never really noticed it. It’s generally a seasonal snack stand, but when it’s open, you can grab some refreshing cold drinks and snacks here that can really help you cool off.

The menu here is limited, but if you’re looking for something to help you feel a little cooler, this is where you want to be. You’ll find fountain drinks, water, frozen drinks, a few frozen alcoholic drinks, and some classic Mickey Ice Cream Sandwiches.

Here’s a little background: Peevy’s gets its name from a character in The Rocketeer movie. So before you decide what to order here, be sure to take a peek at some props from that film you’ll find inside the snack stand.

We grabbed a Frozen Lemonade for $5.75. It’s light, refreshing, and COLD, and you can even choose to sip it through a straw or eat it with a spoon. It doesn’t have that classic true tart lemon flavor of a traditional lemonade, but it’s also not super sweet. The texture is a lot like an Icee, and yes, that means it melts quickly. Pro tip: Bring your own reusable straw if you don’t like the paper straws that come with frozen drinks in Disney World.

Then, of course, we had to get the Mickey’s Cookies ‘n’ Cream Ice Cream Sandwich for $6.29. We’re just going to tell you know…although this treat is available all over Disney World, it’s HIGHLY underrated. The chocolate cookies are soft and rich, while the cookies ‘n’ cream ice cream is beautifully creamy. Don’t skip out on this treat!

So the next time you find yourself in Hollywood Studios, sweaty and in need of a cool treat, be sure to stop before walking by this snack spot.
