If you’ve followed AllEars on social media, you’ll know that things have been a little chaotic as Quincy and I have flown around the world. It all started in Singapore, though, when the unthinkable happened…

My luggage didn’t arrive with me in Singapore. Sure, I had my carry-on bag, but my checked bag was not waiting for me at the luggage carousel in Singapore. So let’s talk about what happened.
It all started when Quincy and I began our adventure that would take us TO the Disney Adventure, Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, in Singapore. Our longest flight was 17 hours and 40 minutes, but we came prepared with compression socks, Animal Crossing, Skyrim, and Uncrustables.
Before that, we took a 6.5 hour flight, and after all that, we finally made it to Singapore. You can imagine how excited I was. However, my checked bag did NOT make it to Singapore. I was told it was on a different plane and was scheduled to arrive the next night. I learned this even before we had landed in Singapore, so at least it wasn’t a BIG surprise.
But, hey, we’d made it through two REALLY long flights.
Still, my luggage was not with me after 30 hours of flying, and wouldn’t be with me for another 24 hours. Now, we had plans for those 24 hours, so we weren’t entirely sure how it was going to work. I did listen to all the travel advice, though, that says to keep your important stuff with you, like medicine and skincare. But I didn’t have my pajamas, but the hotel had some nice, fluffy robes. So I slept in a hotel robe, woke up the next morning, put on the same shirt, and borrowed some pants from Quincy.
Then we went to the pool, and I realized I couldn’t get in because I didn’t have my bathing suit.
So…fast forward to 24 hours later, and we returned to the airport to get my bag. And it was there! REUNITED.
So that’s what happened. The important thing here is that it is important to pack all your essentials in your carry-on bag and personal item. That includes pajamas and a bathing suit. Maybe also a spare pair of underwear and pants. Lesson learned.
Of course, the chaos did not end there — we also had a flight get canceled after our cruise, meaning that we didn’t make it to Disneyland Paris when we were supposed to. But we did eventually get there, and we’re getting you all the details about Disney Adventure World RIGHT NOW, so be sure to keep checking AllEars for that.
