Everyone knows that travel is always busy leading up to Christmas, but if you were hoping it would slow down post-Christmas, you might need to adjust your expectations!

According to CBS News, travel is not showing any signs of slowing down after Christmas. Let’s take a look at what’s going on and the chaos that we might need to expect!
According to CBS, American Airlines is expecting its busiest day at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to be on January 2nd, with 890 flights on its schedule.

As if that wasn’t enough, there’s a chance that the weather may impact travel delays, making everything even more chaotic over at the airport.

After that, the second busiest day for air travel will be January 4th, with American Airlines having over 600 flights scheduled for that day. If you have travel plans on either of those days, you’re going to want to give yourself plenty of time at the airport for security, baggage, etc. — no one likes the stress of rushing for a flight.

On top of the business of the airport, be prepared for the unexpected with the weather this holiday season. You can never predict how the weather may affect your travel plans. As of Saturday, December 27th, over 300 flights are currently delayed at MCO, with over 3,000 delays happening across the U.S.

Although you won’t be able to predict the weather for your travel day, you can do your best to make sure that when things happen, you are notified and can react accordingly. Different airline apps are a great way for you to get notified about delays and cancellations as soon as they happen!
