For many Walt Disney World guests, staying at an on-property hotel is just as integral a part of a trip to the “Most Magical Place on Earth” as the theme parks, especially thanks to the perks afforded Disney hotel guests.

In my 30+ years of visiting Walt Disney World, I’ve stayed both on and off property, and always find myself drifting back to the former (even if those perks aren’t all they used to be). However, one that remains? Guests staying at Disney’s hotels (and a few select others) receive EXTRA time in the parks. Just how much extra time? Well, it depends.
Before we delve into how much time, a quick refresher on the two extra time perks currently available to Disney World hotel guests.
First, there’s the Early Entry perk, which allows Disney World’s hotel guests to enter each park 30 minutes early each day of their stay (including check-in and check-out days). This perk is offered for each of the resort’s four theme parks every day.

Then, there’s the more limited Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. This perk allows guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resort Hotels, Disney Deluxe Villas, or select other hotels to “enjoy extended evening hours—experiencing select attractions, shops, and dining after regular park hours—in select theme parks on select nights.” These two hours vary by park and are not offered every day.

Eligible Hotels Include:
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
- Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
- Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village
- Disney’s Beach Club Villas
- Disney’s BoardWalk Villas
- Disney’s Old Key West Resort
- Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows
- Disney’s Riviera Resort
- Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
- The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort – A Disney Vacation Club Resort (The extended evening theme park hours benefit applies to Disney Vacation Club Cabins only.)
- The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Walt Disney World Swan Hotel
- Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel
- Walt Disney World Swan Reserve
- Shades of Green on Walt Disney World Resort
So, now that we’ve established these perks, how much extra time do guests actually get? Well, a guest at any Disney hotel can get an extra 3.5 hours of park time during a 7-day stay, just thanks to Early Entry.

In addition, guests staying at one of the hotels eligible for Extended Evening Hours can add another 4 hours on top of that, since the current schedule (through early 2026) includes 2 nights of extra evening hours on different nights and in different parks each week.

So, in total, a Disney guest staying at a Deluxe Tier Disney resort can get an extra 7.5 hours of park time during a weeklong stay thanks to these perks. Not too shabby. Stay tuned to AllEars for more on how to best utilize perks at Walt Disney World.
