Disney World offers a variety of hotel rooms across its Deluxe, Moderate, and Value Resort tiers, each offering its own amenities. However, there are some perks still missing that would be great to see!

I’ve been staying at Disney World hotels for over three decades, and during that time, I’ve stayed at every level offered and seen all kinds of perks come and go. Right now, these are the biggest ones I’d love to see, or love to see back.
Room Service
Currently, the only Walt Disney World hotel to offer room service is the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. This wasn’t always the case, and frankly, this is a perk that desperately needs to return. Especially given how often park hours — and transportation time between parks and resorts — don’t match up with operating hours of food courts and other hotel eateries.

Robes and Slippers
Believe it or not, robes and slippers are a common perk present at many international Disney hotels. They really should be the norm across Disney World’s selection of hotels, even the Value Tier resorts.

These are quite standard at other hotels around the US and the World that cost the same nightly amount as a Disney World hotel.
Merchandise Delivery
For years, merchandise delivery was a staple of Disney World. Guests could shop in the parks or at Disney Springs, then have their purchases sent directly back to their hotel. That way, they didn’t have to carry large purchases through the theme parks. However, that service disappeared without he pandemic, and has yet to return.

So many readers have said that they have seriously cut down on shopping in the parks since this perk disappeared because they don’t want to lug their souvenirs around all day. And we can’t say we blame them.
Streaming Access
Currently, Disney’s in-room TVs do allow guests to sign into their Disney+ accounts. However, someone who’s not already a subscriber is out of luck. It seems like it would be a no-brainer to offer a special “hotel sample” option that the guests could log in with. It could be a win-win for Disney, giving guests access to the service during their stay AND potentially pushing them to subscribe to the service themselves.

Speaking of streaming, while it makes sense that Disney emphasizes their in-house service, it would be welcome if their TVs followed the industry trend and also offered guests the ability to directly log into their other streaming services of choice, like Netflix.

The Disney hotel room experience could definitely improve with the introduction — or in some cases return — of these perks. Stay tuned to AllEars for more on the Disney World experience.
