Southwest Is Offering Flights For As Low As $39 — But Not for Long!

It’s almost time for some summer travel!

If you’re planning a Disney World trip (or any summer vacation), Southwest Airlines has the sale for you! Save yourself some cash and let’s dive into some summer savings.

It’s time for Southwest’s Wanna Get Away Sale! If you’re catching a flight this summer, you could pay as low as $39 for your time in the skies. 

All flights require a 21-day advanced booking to get the Wanna Get Away Deal. This deal runs from May 13th, 2025, until May 22nd, 2025.  The Wanna Get Away Deal applies to U.S. travel from June 3rd until November 19th, 2025!

If you’re looking to get away to Hawaii or San Juan, your booking dates are only valid from August 17th until October 3rd, 2025. Don’t get too excited, though! There are a few blackout dates.

U.S. travel is blocked out only on September 1st, 2025, and international travel is blocked out from August 28th through September 2nd, 2025. Seats are nonrefundable. These fares apply to one-way travel booked with Southwest. It’s important to remember that these flights will be taking place after Southwest’s controversial change to remove their “bags fly free” policy! 

The “bags fly free” policy ends on May 28th, 2025, so if you rely on those two free checked bags, you might be in trouble! Southwest is also removing its open boarding policy, however, that doesn’t kick in until sometime in 2026.
