The Orlando Airport is getting epic.

We’re only a few short months away from the Epic Universe grand opening! Epic Universe is the long-awaited third full theme park at the Universal Orlando Resort. Anticipation is high for the new park, as fans have eagerly followed the details of its construction since the park was first announced in 2019. Now, as the opening draws closer, Universal is gearing up BIG TIME, providing travelers in Orlando with a first and last chance to pick up merchandise at the airport.
As part of the promotion for the park, Universal is currently preparing an Epic Universe-themed store to open at Orlando International Airport (MCO). The new storefront is located in the airport’s Terminal A/B, located right next to Universal’s existing shop.

In the past, Universal utilized the space as a seasonal expansion to sell merchandise for events like Halloween Horror Nights or Mardi Gras. However, looking at the thematic aspects currently being added, it seems like the Epic Universe theme will have a more permanent presence in the space. This lines up with what an employee confirmed to us — they stated that the existing Universal store does not carry any Epic Universe merchandise.

Universal also operates a second, two-story store in MCO’s Terminal C.

Epic Universe, the highly advanced new park with “portals” including Celestial Park, Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, and How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk, is scheduled to open on May 22nd, 2025.

A new Epic Universe store is under construction at MCO as Universal prepares to open their brand-new park. Stay tuned to AllEars for further Epic Universe coverage.
