The ONE Reason You Should Give Disney World's Controversial Jollywood Nights Event Another Chance

After a somewhat rocky first year in 2023, Jollywood Nights has returned new and (seemingly) improved for 2024. This year’s installment of Hollywood Studios’ much-needed holiday party has added several major new additions to its lineup…and because of that, it may be time to give it a second chance!

One of the most heralded new additions to Jollywood Nights in 2024 is Glisten! Described by Disney as “a stunning show on Hollywood Boulevard where international champion skaters perform breathtaking routines set to a vibrant holiday soundtrack – – including original songs and Disney favorites like “Be Our Guest” and “When You Wish Upon A Star” this presentation will be staged at 8:15 PM, 9:15 PM, 10:30 PM, 11:15 PM and 12:15 AM each party night.

This was so unique and exciting, and we really think it’s worth seeing once during the party. The dancers were extremely talented and we do think the main singer was singing live!

We do actually wish there was more ice skating and less “traditional” Disney choreography because it was really special. Our favorite part was the partner skating routine! Since there are so many shows, we don’t think you need to sit down and stake it out, but we definitely say it’s worth seeing!

Glisten! Is a major part of the refurbished Jollywood Nights, and we definitely think it’s a great addition. That’s just one of the many new things at this year’s event, so it may be time to give it another chance.
