WARNING: NEW Construction at Disney's Pop Century Hotel May Impact Your Next Trip

If you’ve been to Disney World in the past 5 years, then you’re probably very familiar with all the ongoing construction around the resort.

Construction walls have become part of the aesthetic in Disney World, and they’re not just limited to the parks. Disney continues refurbishing and improving all aspects of the resort for a better guest experience. And as of today, July 29th, more construction is beginning at a popular hotel’s food court.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort is a very popular Value resort that has direct access to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios via the Skyliner. Because it is a Value resort, it is one of the cheaper options in Disney World. That plus the larger-than-life theming are just a couple of the many reasons people like this hotel.

Another thing people enjoy at Pop Century is the Everything Pop food court. You can find the famous tie-dye cheesecake here along with other great, quick options before you head to the parks or during an afternoon break.

However, starting July 29th, construction will be ongoing through September 29th at the Everything Pop food court. Disney shared on their website that you will still be able to grab food and drinks here, but you’ll need to mobile order your items and there may be alternative entrances and exits due to the construction.

We stopped by on the first day of construction to see the changes and noticed lots of walls and black tarps up around the food court!

During the construction you are still able to grab food from Everything Pop, however, you are limited to only mobile orders from a slightly limited menu. There is still a wide variety and a Cast Member told us that they tried to keep as many of the more popular items available as possible. We did notice that several of the plant-based options were removed from the menu, and this may be because they’re not typically as popular.

The beverage station, most indoor seating, and self-serve utensil stations are still available during the refurbishment.

Also, while Everything Pop is under construction, a temporary grab ‘n go breakfast station has been set up at Fast Forward Arcade.

There are several options for quick breakfasts such as fruit, pastries, and beverages, so you don’t have to mobile order from Everything Pop while you’re headed to the parks.

There is also some seating available in the arcade. It’s pretty similar to a typical hotel breakfast setup, but you will need to pay for your items, unlike continental breakfasts.

Overall, this shouldn’t be a huge hindrance to your dining experience at Everything Pop, but it may affect you if you do plan to eat there during your vacation. Be ready for these changes and plan around them if needed.

If this construction will affect you, there are TONS of great places to dine instead in Disney World including Petals Pool Bar also at Pop Century. The pool bar offers a limited menu of food such as salads and sandwiches and lots of drinks.
