Universal Orlando, WHY Did You Do This to Us?!

After visiting Universal Orlando and Disney World for multiple decades, we’ve seen many things come and go.

Some of our favorite rides have been removed to make way for new attractions, and we’ve seen entire theme park lands close to be replaced by updated offerings and expansions. But it’s also a very sad day when we have to say goodbye to fan-favorite restaurants!

We recently shared the news (originally reported by WESH) that Cinnabon at Universal’s CityWalk will be closing later this month. The shop will permanently close its doors on April 28th.

Universal has shared that Cinnabon and the Quiet Flight shop (which closed on April 14th) will be replaced with new experiences, but hasn’t shared details on what those experiences will be. CityWalk is currently home to dozens of shopping and dining locations, as well as activities like mini golf and escape rooms.

We’re SO sad to see Cinnabon go, but there is one redeeming factor — the Cinnabon location inside Universal’s Islands of Adventure will remain operational. That means we can still get our cinnamon roll fix if we’re heading into the park!
