You’ll Either Be Thrilled or Terrified About This New Disney Souvenir UPDATE

Recent Disneyland news may have us dreaming about expansion, but it’s important not to overlook the little things — like brand-new souvenirs!

While Disneyland is no stranger to influencing the other Disney parks (it was the first Disney theme park after all), it seems a little bit of overseas influence is coming to Disneyland this time around! A popular souvenir craze is making its way from Hong Kong Disneyland to Anaheim and we’ve got a feeling you’ll have some STRONG opinions about this one!

Disney just announced that NEW Create Your Own Headbands will be arriving at the Disneyland Resort alongside the upcoming Pixar Fest!

These headbands featuring Disney mini plushes, which gained in popularity over at Hong Kong Disneyland, will “let you mix and match favorite Disney mini plush accessories to create your own personalized masterpiece,” according to Disney.

The steps to make a customizable headband are incredibly simple! First, you choose a headband, then you choose one or multiple mini plush accessories, and then you finally secure the plushes to the headband.

Plush options include the following:

  • Buzz Lightyear
  • Toy Story Alien
  • Lots-o-Huggin’ Bear
  • Mickey Mouse
  • Donald Duck
  • Daisy Duck
  • Chip
  • Dale
  • Winnie the Pooh
  • Tigger
  • Stitch

The style of these Disney headbands is reminiscent of the headbands found at Universal Studios’ Super Nintendo World.

However, unlike the Boo Headband and the Super Mushroom and 1-UP Mushroom Headband, Disney’s little plushes come off and are completely customizable.

Pixar Fest is returning to Disneyland from April 26th through August 4th, 2024 and these new Create Your Own Disney headbands will be sold during the event and beyond.

You will find the headbands and accessories at The Mad Hatter in Disneyland Park and Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff in Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure.

Our team is split on how we feel about the plush character heads. Some think they’re adorable while others feel they’re a bit creepy. Let us know what you think and continue to follow us here at AllEars for all kinds of Disney merch updates as well as all the latest Disney Parks news!
