Park Passes Could SELL OUT This Weekend in Disney World — Why You Should Grab Yours Now

Are January and February the SLOW season in Disney World? Not anymore!

People used to tout the first two months of the year as THE time to go to the parks for low crowds, but that’s simply not the case in the post-pandemic world. With multiple holiday weekends, Mardi Gras, two different runDisney events, and a plethora of cheer and dance competitions in Orlando, we’ve been seeing steady crowds since the beginning of the year. And if you’re heading to the parks this weekend, we’ve got a warning!

From February 9th-12th, Disney World is hosting the UCA High School Nationals Cheer Championship, which means that people are flocking to the resort from all over the country. Because of this, the parks are likely going to be extra crowded for a few days before, during, and after.

And along with that trend, we’ve seen Disney Park Passes filling up FAST for those dates. As of Friday, February 9th, Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT are all sold out on Saturday for select resort guests and theme park ticket holders.

Additionally, EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are marked as sold out for Annual Passholders on February 10th.

We’ll likely see fluctuating availability over the next few days, so go ahead and make your Park Passes NOW if you haven’t already. Those with date-based tickets no longer need Park Passes for Disney World, but if you have a group ticket, a military ticket, or an Annual Pass (or similar ticket type), you’ll still need to reserve your visit in advance.

Keep in mind that these types of crowds may also affect hotel availability, restaurant availability, and the price of Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes.
